But Saakashvili for some reason decided to attempt a genocide of the Ossetians, who by the way are Russian citizens. Plus, he attacked our peacekeepers, who were stationed there by International protocol. Russia had no choice but to go in, thank god we made it in time to stop the killing. It is more like Saakashvili put S. Ossetia on the table and lost the bet.

Bombing with what? the only thing these peacekeepers had were UAZ Jeeps and AK-47s. However, there is conclusive evidence that the Georgian military tried to provoke the Ossetians into starting an aggression into Georgia proper, however this was unsuccessful. Instead they decided to carpet bomb Tshinval, throw grenades into basements, and shell Orthodox Churches, with complete and utter disregard to human life. Again, Russia was obligated to stop the bloodshed.

This Conflict is actually more like The West vs. Russia, they just used Saakashvili as a pawn. It was perfectly clear that Russia would respond to an action such as the one that saakashvili did. The west wanted to see how NATO-trained troops would go against Russian troops, plus they wanted to increase their foothold on the Region, but it backfired on them. You actually think that Saakashvili or the USA actually cares about Georgia?
