  • wow nice tutorial really helped

  • Great video!!!

  • Dude! You are amazing! Thank you so much!!

  • i love you for this nobody else was as detailed as you please keep going.

  • great video!

  • Damn. I wish I could get Logic Pro. But I happen not to have 200$ lying around :(

I don't want to illegally download it either

    :(

  • @plazmotech we used to pay more than $200 to get logic pro. So you're lucky!

  • @plazmotech having ultrabeat alone is worth 200! and you're getting a whole daw with industry standard synths like sculpture and es2, amazing sampler exs24, the list goes on. get a job shoveling dirt for a couple days. i believe in you.

  • were's this option key you speak of ?

  • The tutorial was awesome. I think I learned more cool workflow tips from this then anything else. I mean that in a good way lol

  • Great Tutorial! Building your own glitches is fantastic, and very time consuming. I've found that by using Izotope's plugin Stutter Edit, I get great glitches, stutters, etc, etc and at a fraction of the time expenditure ;) This isn't an ad for Izotope btw, this is just a helpful comment (at least that's it's intent).

  • bro.. get TURNADO & save time!

  • Nice Tutorial dude thanks for the sharing.

  • Nice tutorial! I'm quite a newbie with Logic...could you share the name of these samples? Can't find them but they sound great! Thnx!

  • @MrDeftone82 I moved away from Apple and Logic a few months ago so I wouldn't be able to tell you the name of the samples, sorry :[

  • great share, thanks

  • How do you have the Red Circles when you click, and the little "pop" Sound Effect for when you clicked on the Fade5seconds thing. did you customize your logic that way?

  • @Quantizer788 It's my video recording program :]

  • is there a way to do this just using midi drums? I don't really have access to cool drum loops.

  • @JordanPool13 If you bounce off the audio first, then you can do it in the same way.

  • @JordanPool13 dude just route a midi sequence to an audio track, using busses, and record it. Et voila you have yourself a cool drum loop (if your midi was cool ;] ) =]

  • Great tutorial! Thanks for making this!

  • Cool man. :) plenty of techniques in here to learn and get creative with. cheers

  • Thanks man, very helpful :)

  • mate- what's the cursor/arrow utility that you're using?

thanks for the time you've taken to kill it with Logic mate.

    best

    tv

  • @tvpnyc It's my video recording utility ISHOWUHD, I believe. I don't have my Macs anymore, heh :]

  • how did you zoom in like that where you draw the box ?

  • @ShopSongs I forget the KB shortcut - I don't have Logic any longer :[

  • Haha! You whistle when you say the letter S in your words! Also thank you because I needed this.

  • I like the video bro! I learned something here!

  • fantastic video - really really great stuff. cheers!

  • Are you wearing Gunnar Optiks?

  • @edthehead83 They are Modo :)

  • Awesome tutorial man! Thank you!

  • Hi, cud u pls tell me hw did u slice the track equally for stutter effect... ??? by using Scissor tool????

  • @Jaikumar257 Just hold down 'option' while slicing and you will slice the region into segments equal to the length of the first slice.

  • how do you do this on Logic Express

  • @JesseHalheadTV I'm assuming the same way as in Logic Pro. Flex and Slicing are both available in Express. Your KB shortcuts might be different if you've changed them.

  • sick tutorial dude I learned something new I am going to use in my ace of base the sign remix thanks dude.

  • option button is which button exactly?

  • @themomentforever - Option on Mac KB - ALT on Win KB

  • While I'm a Logic fan myself, for this kind of stuff Ableton Live is sooooooo much better.

  • @spacealder - that depends on the application. Logic gives you more control over your effects and there are much more advanced methods. Beat Repeat in Ableton is a tad bit locked down. Of course you can fine-tune edits after recordings and re-arrange as you wish - but the ease of use for doing these sort of effects are far better in Logic. Ableton is great and I use it just as much as I use Logic - but it offers a wee bit less control and editing from my years of using it.

  • @spacealder Ableton is terrible to make glitch with. Ableton's quantize options are terrible. It only goes up to 32

  • Compared to other Logic 9 videos on youtube, this one is finally something really good! Could you make a video showing how to side chain a noise gate but only in a inverted way? (The gate closes when it receives signal) Would really appreciate it! Thnx! Definitely subscribing!

  • @crankpinz

Thanks! The easiest way to create a "gate" without 3rd party plugins would be to use a compressor on the channel you want to gate, set your threshold and ratio to completely crush the audio track. Side chain another channel to use as your trigger for the "gate". Mess with attack/release so you don't clip. Perhaps you want a longer close but faster open, etc.

  • sick!

  • kinda sounds like a transformer transforming lol

  • Hey, I love this video. Can you tell me how did you get all that cuts at the same time at the gated section? are you using a shortcut ? Thank you

  • @d2rickydread

Hold down Option when you are slicing - the length of the first slice dictates the length of all other slices in the clip.

  • neat

  • kick ass!
