i am retarded when it comes to imovie and i love making vids so if u could just post one about like the general basics of editing and eveything really. that would be great. em....and thanks,

  • sweet i just needed to know how to cut audio out as a separate file so i could do voice overs and yeah imovie sucks i love final cut its great thanks for the help

  • Many thanks for toturial it was just what i was looking for !

  • ok thanx for the tutorial, but stop moving with your mouse cause its very annoying!

  • I'm a little confused with iMovie. When I import videos to my Mac, they always appear in the pictures folder. And when I drag them into the timeline, they don't have audio. When I try extracting the audio, iMovie ALWAYS closes. Am I doing something wrong? Pleeeease help me.

  • don't ask that on youtube, just ask Apple or go to the help screen

  • Many of your complaints about iMovie are legitimate, however, I assume your only working with the basic iMovie HD architecture. With the GEE THREE effects, it takes iMovie to the next level. Thus the change in iMovie 08, which is really a bad program. Do you have SnapzPro X under the same account as Final Cut? Mine crashes with SP so I had to use a different account.

  • Yeah works fine under the same account.. how odd..

  • its called inuyasha musical(click on my naim andlooka t my vidds)

  • on1 of my videos the sound fudges up the movie and makes it long as the song but I cut the music to the clip! help!

  • I'll check it out and get back to you.

  • I see what you mean. Sounds like a bug. You might even have to make a new iMovie project file and reimport everything into that and start again to fix it.. If you still encounter the same problem we might be talking reinstallation.

  • What screen recorder u got?

  • Snapz Pro for OSX. Best one I have seen out there.

  • You sound kinda depressed :P

  • Welcome to my world Kankki1 :)

  • ;) Good tut anyways! :D

  • Thankyou. This actually helped me a lot with my audio. I'm new to imovie, so...

  • YOU SIR are amazingly Awsome

  • lol i have no ider

  • To find out the format click on the file then go to the "file" menu and then "get info". Under "kind" it should tell you. I'm guessing you have an unsupported file. Import it into iMovie and export in the way shown here. My latest video on this channel explains it better then this one.

  • why carnt i post a 8 min vid ? i aint joking lol pls tell me it says it has to be 100meg but the vid isnet that big i know that for a fact ?? pls tell me what is going on ?

  • Hmm if your video is under 10 minutes and 100 MB there is no reason why it shouldn't upload. Unless maybe you have an unsupported format. What format is your video in?
