I got this pistol as a gift sort of, with only the pistol, clip and some hollow points. It seems that it hadn't been shot in a few years; I took it to the gun range to test it out, and it is having some jamming issues. I am not limp-wristing, but my ruger was jamming every few rounds. Two kinds; shell not ejecting fully and getting caught, and bullet not fully entering chamber at a crooked angle. Idk much about pistols, is it the clip or the gun? I suspect the clip, can anyone confirm this?
@gringosuavebrah try cleaning it and polishing the feed ramp and if that don't improve nothing then it could of been the magazine try that and if it still hasn't problem try getting a new magazine, and try some FMJ ammo if you see a difference. HOPE THIS HELP
Poor Rhein dead and gone Left me here to sing his song Pretty little girl with the red dress on Poor Rhein dead and gone Yeah, back down, turn around slowly Try it again, remembering when It was easy, try it again Much to easy, rememberin' when All right, look at my shoes Not quite the walkin' blues Stick my foot up your ass, that's what I choose.
@TheLizardKing1967 good call, that's why I bought one. bought mine 15 years ago and I still love it. looks good, shoots good. light, easy to take apart and nice safety features. never had a jam. ever. can't say the same for my 1911 45 auto
The P89 is an upgraded P85 MKII that introduced a number of new features; including a decocker and DAO model.
In 1991, Ruger produced a limited run P89X convertible model, which came with a second barrel and recoil spring assembly that allowed conversion between 9mm and .30 Luger calibers.
nice vid man. iv been lookin into gettin one of these. right now i have a smith and wesson sigma 9mm but i think im gonna sell it. tryin to decide between the ruger p89 and the smith and wesson 5906... captain america rocks
@armed2theteethH420 thank you sir. ya the capt. is the best. the winner for me in your choice of weapons your looking would be which one gives me a better holster option. thanks again sir
Fuckin aye mate, nice video quality. I got one with a hogue grip, makes it feel more awesome. I love shooting the heavy peice of metal, rather have p89 than a glock any day.
@Chitown2701 . And like me, you are a very smart man. Smart gun choice. I am going to the gun show this Saturday and buying another 32 round magazine for my P-89. Happy shooting.
im not that impressed. i can honestly say this is a good pistol, but was outperformed by my dads Colt King Cobra 357 Magnum. beleive it or not the recoil was basically the same, accuracy was atleast 3 to 4 inches off compared to the 357 that was spot on at 20 yards. the P-89 is a great pistol, and everyone has theyre preferences, but that 357 really surprised me, one more thing, the P-89 is really light when i was holding it i thought it was empty. thats good for some people, bad 4 some.
@motlencore89 WHO GIVES A FUCK if your not impressed. I odn't like them either, AM I going to choose to NOT be a dick and mention it to him. It might be his pride and joy and do you enjoy insulting people?
You should Get the Houge grips for your P89... it will change the whole feel of the firearm & Yes you can change the sites out to night sites.. I wouldn't compair it to a 1911 because its not even close.. it is closer to a Sig Saur & The Ruger P Series were designed to be a Duty firearm for law enforcement. It was not desinged to be concealed. It is a full size fierarm.
Originally the Magazines held 15 rounds but the brady bill effective from February 1994 -to- September 2004 Made it so that you could only have 10 round Magazines. you could still order & buy pre-brady bill clips that were 15 rounds & more & after the brady bill ran out then you could continue to buy them with the 15 round mags. All hand gun's sold in the United States had to follow the same rule. So it wasn't Old Mr.Ruger not wanting 30 round mags so you were wrong there. its an awsome gun
@Rheinmetall20mm i dont even rember seeing this video or commenting on it like i said it was 4 months ago and chances are i was drinking at the time ,since i dont rember this
@Rheinmetall20mm DUDE youre getting youre panties all in a wad because 4 months ago i made a mistake while typeing an answer and not putting the word because in the sentance . Take a deep breath relax and maybe someday you will get over it i know someone as great as you will never make a mistake
How are you, i was directed to you by 155MM , and this is my question that he said you might help answer. I will be buying a PS90 Civilian model with the 16 inch barrel, semi-auto. (1) Can it be converted by an armorer to full auto, by changing some piece. and (2) Since you cant just swap the barrel out, can you just cut it down to shorten it and then sand it, or what not. Of course i will have a pro do that, but i just want to make sure it can be done. Thanks in advance,
the 30 luger came about after WW1 the germans couldnt make 9mm guns anymore , the 30 is a necked down 9 so any gun could be changed to 9mm with a new barrel
Very nice...i love the Ruger P series pistols...im in love with the ruger p90, p91(40cal rare as HELL) and the p944(p94 40cal)....i like the little p95 too

great gun, but not one that should be in the same home with small kids. It has no safety, and that makes it dangerous in the hands of unskilled kids

indeed a fine weapon right there. Owned one a while back and it was great, light and carries 16 rounds, seeing it again makes me want to get another.

TheLizardKing1967 1 year ago
@TheLizardKing1967 I've had mine since"93" and it's never jammed once. And the Hogue grips are awesome, it's also easy to disassemble and clean.
