I am saving up right now for this gundam. Just recently, I was finally about to afford the MG Wing Zero Custom Pearl gloss (1st gundam, theyre expensive). Your review has been really helpful and makes me really want to get this one even more. Heres hoping I can save up enough to buy this one. I also want an MG exia, so lots of saving up on my part.

@kenzidisa7 They're both about equal in difficulty. But if you follow the directions carefully, no Gundam is really that difficult.

@rrobbert184 wait a sec, the rx 78 is jus as hard as the unicorn? O_o lol i remembered that u said u broke a foot part in ur unicorn review when u were trying to build the leg. i did have the v fin break on my rx 78-2 when i tried to take it off the sprews with some nippers. luckily super glue fixed that and u cant tell where the seam is. btw, i got the one year war version. it is awesome : P

i totally agree with what you say near the end.

when i get around to buying this kit (and i intend to!) i may just get 2 so i can pose the fully armoured one next to the inner frame.

This is the best MG of all. Really getting close to its PG counterpart. They should have "holed" the mouth guard as well though. I find the gundam detail liner too thick for that (for an MG Wing Zero). What tip could you give me? And hey, nice collection.

how do you cut the models and not leave the white marks behind. I usually use a razor to train the excess but something it does leave a white mark even when im trying to be careful.

just go over the white nub marks with a gundam marker of that color or give the parts light sanding

I do have the OYW Anime Color version. I like it quite a bit, but I love how old school the v2.0 looks.

@rrobbert184 It would be fun to do that with one of the old HG 1/100 kits from Wing, Victory, etc.. It would probably be easier to do with a MG G gundam frame though, being skinnier.

how solid is this gundam? does it feel like it might break if you move it too much since it is so complex and has so many moving parts?

without the core block in, you have to be careful with it, but as soon as you put in the core fighter, it feels really solid.

i'm a big fan of the orignal gundam, and even though the colors are ridiculous for a 'real robot', it's now a classic. i hope it doesn't change with future gundams.
