my mustang V6 no muffler

did running it with no muffler and just the pipe extension slow you down at all?

@evalSnaciremA hard to say really, in theory too little back pressure should lose hp but i didnt really notice, maybe would affect low down torque more than anything, but not that it bothered me cos it wasnt a really fast car anyway

i just want it to be loud and not have to spend alot of money

im gunna take the whole thing off from the cat back. so the only pipe that will be there is the little pipe after the cat

yeah i ran mine like that for a while , its a lot louder inside the car, i had to cut the exhaust by the rear axle to remove it too, its better if you can find a bit of pipe and just weld it inplace of the muffler

i have a 98 v6 same color. would it sound the same if i cut off the mufer

i replaced the muffler with a straight bit of pipe so it still has standard factory tip, if you do this then i guess it would sound the same, its even louder when its cold but gets quieter when warm and is quiet enough under normal driving, only really loud when you cane it
