  • Awesome track dude. What program did you use to produce this?

  • really fucking amazing, you clearly spent a really long time on this and you did a great job!

  • Best remix by far, great job Phynn, just wish i could find this on Spotify.

  • mixcloud . com /stiba

that one should work! contains a lot of trance sets from some parties ive done :)

  • Best remix

  • AWESOME remix!

  • Great work, Fientje!

  • Go Phynn!!

  • When you have a piece like this imo you really need to let it define it or keep accompaniment harmonious w/ a melody as intricate as this one. This remix feels sorta bland b/c of the samples used, it just clashed (taking a melodic/prog approach would've been best)

  • I only have two words for this: Holy. Shit.

  • lolol i love this song but im stupid so, i dnt get how to download it D: arent u sopost to just click the link and it auto-downloads? sorry im stupid >.<

  • i just love those songs that when u hear them u like see your entire life flashing by all your good and bad memorries i just love that...

  • I do not like this, I am sorry, the song is supposed to be sorrowful, sad, haunting, and mysterious and this remix erased every bit of all 4 elements of the original. Never the less, great mixing skills

  • Trance beats insult this song.

  • @AnInfinitethereality i dont think so.

  • Zajebiste!!!

  • Wwwhooo =D fat basslines ^^

    amazingggg

  • this is epicly unique

  • Orkidea's Awake Mix is better imo.

  • If you like Inception remixes also check this one out: Hans Zimmer - Time (Inception theme) Gabriel Lukosz R.E.M. Remix

  • I think i just had my second eargasm ( my first was with the original song)

  • FUCK YES!! <3

  • now thats a bassline ;D

  • This remix is really really really AMAZING! The original tune was incredible but Phynn interpretation... Just WOW!!!

  • Thanks for the free download Phynn! :)

  • amazing dude

  • sweet, i was looking for the right trance remix to make an inception music video with, i think i found it :)

  • except the beginning - awesome!

  • \o/

  • 19 people were in the shaft when saito lobbed in the grenade ;P

  • Bleh... Orkidea's Dream mix gets my vote.

  • so fucking good

  • cover, remix, bootleg. who cares. the track rocks. good job.

  • It's not technically a remix if none of the tracks of the original are used.

  • @Nannirk its still a remix if the melody from the midi sample is used

  • @snostorm8 It's only a reMIX if you MIX original material with your own. This sounds more like Phynn recreated the melody. So it's a cover, not a remix.

  • @Nannirk meh, i'd call it a remix, but each to their own

  • @snostorm8 The point is, it's wrong. If you choose to be wrong, well, prepare to be corrected.

  • @Nannirk yeah but its not his music he's taking inspiration from innit? changing a few notes in a melody doesn't make it yours lol

  • @quikandsilva No, it makes it a cover.

  • @Nannirk false, it's called a remix because he's taken a song that's been done, and changed a the melody and beat and whatever else. doing a different version of the same notes is a cover. if you perform the inception ost on the piano, then it's a cover. if you're mixing it, changing musical elements electronically it's a remix. trololol

  • @quikandsilva If it contains part of the original recording, yes. If it's remade from the ground up, it's not a remix. The word "remix" comes from the process of mixing already recorded material in a new way. So it needs to have part of the original recording.

  • this song plays whenever chuck norris takes a dump.

  • Make the remixes stop!

  • aaahh........ Vengeance Essential loops how they're amazing..........

  • Eargasm!!!

  • This is perfect. This is what a remix is about. Making a song into your own. Make your own interpretation but leaving its main essence. :)

  • intro is rubbish. Uneccessary, and takes waaay long. brianschimmel is right on. Start from 2:22 and you;re good from then on.

  • Orkidea's version is a better remix as far as Trance goes, but this remix is pretty good too.

  • tuc tuc tuc tuc sit..someone make liquid dnb mix

  • WOW PHYNN REMIX TO :D

  • Some of the notes in the main part of it didn't really match Time. It kinda sounded like it came from The Island score by Steve jablonsky instead of Inception by Hans Zimmer. THey're both good scores though.

  • This is a great remix, but it's hard to survive the first two minutes if you're not a hardcore lover of "Bum bum bum bum bum music". Also, I fail to recognize any music element from the original in this "intro". So I recomend you start listening at 2:22 and enjoy the remaining 7 minutes of this piece, which is really worth the time.

  • @brianschimmel without intro, tell me how to mix the song with other song...

  • @brianschimmel I see what point your making, but this is how all full length trance songs are. with the long intro. its so you have more room to work with when your a dj in a club making that transition from one song to another.

  • @brianschimmel Rule of thumb with Trance.

The First and Last 2or3 minutes is not "trance"... it just makes it easier for the dj to mix the track with another.

    :D

  • @brianschimmel the first to minutes are there so that the song can be easily mixed by DJs ;) and this applies to the last minute as well

  • @brianschimmel that's how trance records always start.. you have to mix them with other songs.

  • @all that replied: Thanks for your clarification. I just did not think about the need to mix the tracks because I did not see it from a DJ's point of view. Makes perfect sense and is a nice example of youtube comments that are actually constructive feedback - which (sadly) has become rare nowadays.

  • @brianschimmel i agree 100% with you, but dj's alwyas have to have raw beats at the beginning so they can transition from one track to the next on their turntables, seamlessly, when performing at a club.

  • @brianschimmel lol! maybe the should have taken a radio edit! the first 2 minutes of "BUMBUMBUM" are for mixing the track in a set

  • @brianschimmel then you don't like trance ... This is clasical build up , so you'd better shut up ...

  • @86Berkut boohoo wobbly doo

  • @brianschimmel im not a specialist in this music, but i guess, this "boomboomboom"-part is made for long trance mixes to "bridge" it with other tracks ...

  • @brianschimmel The first two minutes are actually called an 'intro'. Within it, you should encounter a building tension leading to a first drop (0:56) which will reset the beat for a couple seconds, then fully get back. This leaves now room for incoming pads and/or plucks to add to a next tension, until the breakdown, which will introduce the melody.

Starting a Trance song at the breakdown is like cumming before actually making love.

    Jeez that was deep.

  • @Xhueloe AMAZING comment, couldn't have put it better myself

  • @Xhueloe please, get you fucking ass to ukf with that kinda comment... damn

  • @zastyla I guess you were trying to imply that UKF isn't good ?

LOL. I can see how narrowly minded you are :<

  • @Xhueloe The reason many "Original Mixes" have such long intros is usually to make it easier for a DJ to transition into the song.

  • @utrolig Don't leave it only to that. I also make music myself. Trance is about emotions. Trance Djs have a harder time mixing, in my honest opinion, than all those "djs" mixing in clubs, where intros only have that purpose. With Trance, they need to have two songs with different emotions flowing alltogheter in a perfect way. It is just as if you would have to get two different people to completely get along. I'm a bit short to describe it entirely here, but I hope you get my point :)

  • @Xhueloe mixcloud . com / stiba - case and point :)

  • @utrolig Deadlink

  • @brianschimmel im glad i read ur comment, i was about to skip a page, the intro defo looses zimmer fans but once u get past that its a prity sweet mix, ive put lyrics to the original version on my channel :D

  • @brianschimmel Some trance remixes use the transition from an ambiguous intro section into a recognizable passage for effect. As a trance fan myself, I actually really enjoyed this element in this track; for another pretty awesome example of this, see Tiesto's "He's a Pirate" (it should be obvious what soundtrack this one's remixing.)

  • im still waiting for a decent mashup of this soudntrack, but nowhere to be found.

  • 4 out of 5 stars. I expected something better than this from Phynn

  • what these haters meant to say was that rather than this remix being garbage they got confused and meant to say "oh shit that Orkidea remix of this is better" lol. Well that's my personal opinion.

  • Thanks. :D

  • Oh ok.. well then FUCK OFF!!!!

  • awesome tune I just wish it didn't sound so old school.

  • beautiful

  • amazing

  • This is a great production though, but it sucks as a remix. change the midi and make an original please.

  • What the fuck did you do to this amazing piece of music? Hans Zimmer must be doing a massive facepalm right now.

  • more piano please

  • EPIC

  • Could have been much more...thats the risk with such a beauty

  • Guys, don't listen to OneWithin. This remix is absolutely amazing. Yes, The original is already perfect. But THIS IS HOW it should sound Trance-lated :). Amazing track.

  • @bartoszt1977 uhm.. there are other trance mixes just as good or better

  • @sharpnova2

    Glad to hear brah.

  • This should have remained either untouched, or preserve its profound feel in a remix. This is just another cheesy sentimental uplifting trance, plus very lazily produced (copy-pasting buildup and breakdown merely to make track few minutes longer is a cheap method).

    Tasteless remix.

  • @OneWithinTheCircuit I agree 100%

  • @OneWithinTheCircuit ...I like to see you create a better mix.... it is sickeningly easy to be on the criticizing band-wagon....You can't simply dismiss creative effort and labeled it cheesy sentimental uplifting trance...all I hear you say is blah blah...perhaps you're the one who's tasteless....

  • @lostintrance9 why take the fact someone dislikes something so close?

  • Comment removed

  • @OneWithinTheCircuit yo go smd loser

  • @rockybalboa459 what's "yo go smd"? :)

  • @OneWithinTheCircuit smd as in suck my dick? gratz, geenie!

  • @OneWithinTheCircuit you call this pasting? i bet you'll spend more than a life time making, so called "copy and pasting" the 'buildup and breakdown'. if you cant appreciate trance, just admit it. the trance family rejects you :)

  • @geoprodigyx I appreciate trance, but this just isn't.

  • Wow... amazing... brilliant...

  • Absolutely incredible! I love the original so much, and this is an incredible tribute to a work of art, in itself being a work of art!

  • Beautiful, and very uplifting. I'd love to hear this at a massive venue! Great job, Finne!
