@berserker96 I really appreciate that. Personally, my opinion is a little different. I think the reason why it is a good video is because the audio is awesome and the band gives a great live performance. Compared to my other videos, it is mediocre, because I was *super* new to filming and I just kinda stood in one place. If I see 'em again, I'll get video that blows this out of the water. I guarantee it.
i've actually met both andruh ?...the singer, and cliff, one of the geetar guys, and those two are possibly the coolest, most down to earth rockers out there.... oh, and their music's REALLY good, too!
man, this crowd looks bored.. so maybe they thought they were seeing Katy Perry or something because why else would they just stand there and not get into FTM?? I mean, unless your there to see a COMPLETELY different band, they should get into it a little.. their not going to be judged for dancing or jumping around.. FTM doesn't play there that much, this must be why.. and it must also be why they come to Flint ALL the time. The Machine Shop is your second home guys.
@buickcityfilms2010 Everyone was there to see dredg and really had no idea who these guys were. It isn't exactly like FTM are a "big" band, you know? I mean, dredg isn't really either, but you know what I mean. FTM made a lot of fans that night, though. Nobody knew these songs and you kinda gotta be a disingenuous ass to go nuts for songs you don't know.
@KayeoticNeutral I can agree with that. He's completely unselfconscious and I love how he has this feral and unhinged quality that you rarely see in musicians. Another example of what I'm talking about who had that particular quality was like 80's-early 90's Axl Rose.
@Tryptonique Exactly. I think it is a powerful thing when someone can just let the music take them over without regard to anything or anyone else. And, like you said, it's a rarity that you get to see someone with that quality anymore. Never seen an Axl Rose performance, but it's always good to know people truly care about their music and not just the money and glory that sometimes comes along with it. Fame sometimes ruins bands, in fact...
@KayeoticNeutral Yea exactly. I agree. Daryl Palumbo from Glassjaw is the same way. Very cathartic and unpredictable on stage with tons of antics. I've seen them over 15 times and every single show was a different experience. That's a true artist.
@rockmusictilldeath I agree. Their songwriting is really tight and will stand the test of time I think. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this group. :)
@monalisasmilesforyou That they are. Unfortunately when I went to see them in Sacramento, we all had to sit through about 3 hours of opening bands, so by the time FTM came on, everyone was pretty worn out. That didn't stop me from jumping and cheering until I felt I was about to pass out, but most everyone else was pretty shot.
@sinksinkswim For reals! Pretty damn awesome. It is too bad that I didn't get any more video of Fair To Midland or The Trophy Fire, but I got dredg's entire set on my channel. :)
though i love golden parachutes and amarillo and rikki tikki tavi, i have to give the "song of the album" to whiskey and ritalin. really amazing song. wish the trademark screams darrroh sometimes throws in were included in the album version.
@rockerjp101 I think I can agree with that. I think they should have merged Heavens to Murgatroyd and Whiskey and Ritalin on the album. They just make sense together. It is kinda like Open and Point #1 on Chevelle's Point #1 album.
i dont think any one of these songs can be crowned, even the little instrumentals in between are just amazing, and very well put together...an outstanding work of musical genius, from the drums, to the vocals...

@DrUnKeNMaXXX I'm really digging Arrows &Anchors. It is a really great record. I'm loving Golden Parachutes, Musical Chairs, Amarillo Sleeps on My Pillow, and of course Whiskey and Ritalin. :)
that whole night was amazing. went early and hung out with them and dredg. good time! theyre all way cool guys!! the singer is way chill off stage vs on lol!
@TOOLdrummer22 Nice. I've only talked with them for about 5 minutes or so each of the two times I've seen them (at this Boise show I only got to talk to Mark after the show). They're all definitely really nice people and very cool to the fans. :)
@monalisasmilesforyou Honestly, I could barely hear them because I was 7 feet or so from a main stage speaker and they were playing at jet engine volume levels (unlike dredg or The Trophy Fire). I thought they looked promising until I came home and watched this video and was like, "Wow, these guys are actually really good!" I wish they would turn things down just a bit. I know they're not an acoustic band or anything, but there is a balance there that they're missing, in my opinion.
Seriously this has got to be one of the best live FTM vids on youtube.... so fucking awsome. You should be commended for taking this footage

The way he "dances around" show's how fully immersed he is in his music. I ADMIRE him for it.
