I like the fact Salomon keep coming out with outstanding products, especially in such a niche market as trail running. Been using Salomon xa pro's since 2001 and they continue to be outstanding shoes even today...love the variety of fresh colors and the toe protection.
I am Matt Ward, the guy in video. You observe that I run on my forefoot, but close analysis of the video will also show that I heel strike quite often.
I dont think we are promoting heel striking, we are merely acknowledging this it exists in many thousands of runners' running actions, and trying to offer a small solution, not change the way people run overnight. Finally, we are actually implying that the shoe helps you transit to that front foot contact quicker.
Why design shoes to help "transition from heel to toe" when none of your athletes, and not even the guy in the video is a heel striker, nor should they be. With all the negative information regarding heel striking why are you still promoting it?
Can you compare them with XR Crossmax neutral?
Mission or Crossmax more comfortable (stability, cushioning)?
