  • The first stitch is soooooo easy thanks this video helped!! :D I know how to cast on fast, and do the next row, then the second row, then Pearl.. but its hard to Pearl, but i know enough to make a Scarf!!

  • Most of these videos are helpful, but this one was impossible to see how that first stitch was done. :(

  • AHHH

  • i like your videos, i have found them to be the most helpful an useful, i am a beginer and once the camera was in the angle from your persective made it very easy, keep it up

  • I can't follow your guide. =/ Try doing it from the perspective of someone who's never touched knitting needles before, and make it so the camera can see wtf you're doing before you start.

  • i agree!

  • Hi expertvillage! When you cast on, I noticed that when you slip the loop back on to the left needle, you slip the left needle through the TOP of the loop (which you demonstrate at 1:14 in your video) instead of through the bottom of the loop, which is how I cast on. Does this make a difference?

  • lizzy is a poopy face

  • you should teach slower, people can't learn if we don't have time to get started before you start running your mouth again!! :-(

  • seriously what are u doing, we're not all professionals

  • That's not helpful, you didn't show how to begin.

  • I really want to learn but all of the videos in expert village are done so quickly that it's hard to follow. The camera is also so far away that I can't see what you are doing. I've watched this one three times already and am so frustrated because I can't see just what you are doing. (Visual learner here so just hearing the instructions aren't helping).

  • You need to adjust the tension, so that your stitches are close together; I didn't knit in a while -- you could use either this cast on method or clench the ball end so that the yarn's a triangle. Move the needle from the outside of the thumb edge and then go back in the loop closest to the index finger. However, I still like using 2 needles to cast on.

  • Hi

Plizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help. Whenever I knit my yarn joining the two stitches together(one on the left needle and one on the right) in the middle of the stitches keeps getting longer plizzzzzzzzzz tell me why if you know Thanx soooooooooooooooooooo much.
