  • When you installed the cams did you have to upgrade your injectors and mass air sensor?

  • @furiousStang this video I have stock injectors and stock mass air meter. they are 21 lb pink tops. I have upgraded now though :)

  • i swapped my 5 speed to a 6 speed, and i bought the pieces not in a kit. As long as you buy the right parts its bolt in. The only thing you have to change is extend the back up light harness by like 10 inches, because the back up sensor is on the oposite side of the transmission. Also wire power to the reverse lock out, i didnt do this, just makes getting it into reverse an excersize, since you have to overcome large spring pressure. Not nearly enough for me to waste my time wiring it.

  • @swooshonln I was wondering how you can get 288hp at the wheels. I have custom tune by pro-dyno and its 258.94 hp and 293.55 torque. My mods are accufab 75mm tb+plentum bbk cold air intake sct 95 mm maf 3.73 gears Bassani offroad exhaust tuned system without the baffers.On a sidenote i want to do a KB 2.6L on my gt but was looking at head and cams 1st before I do it. My question would be that if I do the cams and heads thats for a SC would it hurt my performance before I SC it also 6gear on gt?

  • @2000bluestang I dont know much about SC cams being used on a N/A car. However, I would get SC cams if i was planning on SC down the road for sure. If I would of know I was going to be s/c my car, I would of bought the S/C Comp Cams. But they will still work fine when I throw the blower on. 6gear on gt? what do you mean? GT's are 5 speeds.

  • @swooshonln I think people are doing cobra 6speed swaps on gt when they get 500+ hp not sure though. Also some1 told me that it would be easyer to get a new engine with heads and cams on it and alrdy built for a SC than to build mine which atm has 110k miles give or take.

  • @2000bluestang Well I heard that its a pain to switch the 5-speeds out to a 6 speed. As far as buying a motor w/ heads-cams already, that is going to be pricey, especially if they are good parts. I'm going to be buying a old GT block, and just buy new internals+pistons+etc and do it that way. Figure a block is a block, no matter how many miles on on it, you know? As long as you buy a new everything else and clean it nice, your good to go. That is how you will save money. MMR is good too tho.

  • vary nice sound... i just orderd some XE270AH comp cams for my 01 bullitt. i was just wondering if you used stock springs and stock cam gears? and still had good PTV clerints? i have the exsact same modes as you do mines borla stingers thats my next mode on my list. how much HP do you think that would put me with those mods added on. i'm thinking 350

  • @bullitt3737 Make sure that you do springs+retainers with any stage 2 cam. If not, you are going to have some trouble.

    The PTV clearance with these cams is literally somewhere between 0.015" and 0.05". Not very much room to work with at all.

    Are you talking 350 CRANK HP? because you wont see 350 rwhp w/out a blower (or some form of nitrous, which I hate, haha). Like the description, I made 288 rwhp with all the mods above. A full bolt on GT (heads/cams/intake) will only make about 320 wrhp.

  • @swooshonln ok thanks... i ges i'll be gitting some springs and retainers... i just would love 350 hp any where... but i agre with you on the nitrous. i hate that stuff to

    I have an 04 gt with JLT fenderwall CAI and stingers. next up is LT's and mid pipe. you recommend bbk?

  • Yeah I love bbk. I have since replaced my BBK mid pipe though with a MAC prochamber, but that was because the O/R bbk was extreamly loud with the stingers and LTs. (its still loud now with the prochamber though).

    Most of my video's are with the BBK o/r pipe, but some are with the prochamber as well, you just gotta read the description.
