  • Good one!

  • Thank you Elaina!

  • yeah, Christian fundies misunderstand the torch, they set it way past "enlightenment" up to "light saber" and starts weilding it screaming:

-obey Gods commandment!! ... or he'll have me slice you in two!!!

  • O_o

  • Actually clouds are made out of Watervapor, Marshmallows, Pillows and Horses..

  • hmmmmmmm. horses [drool]

  • LOL atomicnumber86

  • its fun to hear the very present dutch accent in your voice.

next to that it was a very entertaining watch.

  • :-)

    Thanks

  • Hang in there, young Rosey. We youtubers, on the other side of the camera, need you to keep us entertained and informed! Fight your fears with that torch!!

  • [grin] Cheers

  • Little did our young rozeboosje know that lurking behind yonder tree trunk or hedge and stalking his every step, was that deadliest of all clouds: the many-fanged, man-eating mammatus!

    ;-)

  • Aaaaarrrggghhhh!!!!! It's after me!

  • Better to light a candle (or a torch) than to curse the darkness.

Btw, mechanical torches ftw. Batteries have failed? Just power it up with your own strength. :-)

  • :-)

  • No matter how much you realize a well made carnival haunted house is fake doesn't stop you from getting scared on some level. You are scared that they are trying to scare you.

  • LOL

Not scared, but certainly weary of the next sudden noise that will erupt in your vicinity.

  • I wish every child had a torch when they really needed it. Great video, something to think about.

  • Cheers

  • I really like that. =D

  • Thank you

  • that's not a torch, that's a flashlight ;-)

  • UK people call it a torch.

  • i know, I was just ribbing him :-)

  • "let's call the whole thing off" XD

  • [grin]

  • a torch is a flashlight just like pants are trousers...its different in europe aas it is in NA

  • Crazy yanks! [shakes fist at sky]

  • I say tomahto :-)

  • and I say carrot :-)

  • LOL

  • shine on.. :)

  • "... you crazy diamond?"

  • threatened by shadows at night and exposed in the light...

  • :-)

  • Awesome. :)

  • Thanks

  • Nice poem :)

  • :-)

  • I sometimes advise myself to concur that what fear I am experiencing is an anomaly of irrational thinking, so thus, to disable the illumination and face the fear, one can only conclude that my judgement was flawed and thus there is nothing to fear! So in essence, one can find the torch of ones confidence when reconciled with an environment no more different in the dark, than is in the light.

  • That's true.

  • Very beautiful mate.

  • [smile]

  • Nice.

  • i was gonna say that! ; )

  • And thank you too!

  • Thanks

  • So bring a torch out every evening in case it goes dark and rains. :D

  • Indeed

  • Excellent!

  • {bows}

  • At 0:14 I thought, next thing he is going to say is "I was abducted by Aliens"

But hey, very poetic and deep speech :D

  • Thank you!

  • You should pitch that to Everready or Duracell. HEHEHHEHEH

  • ROFL

  • always interesting, good job, Your accent is unique and always gets my attention but some times i miss a word...Did you say at the end that you found a "bath"?

  • LOL

    A path.

  • wow that was cool when the light was shined, you rock bro.

  • :-) I deliberately pointed it at the lens of the camera. It worked. I was rightly chuffed with that.

  • I'm reminded of the Carl Sagan metaphor of science as a Candle in the dark. I repeat it frequently and in different ways. We don't need to be fearful. We just have to protect the candle. (or the batteries, as the case may be)

  • Always carry a spare pack

  • Thanks for this story. I think you have great way of telling stories.

The symbolism of light and darkness is a frequently used, but beautiful one.

I had the feeling this story reflected on the previous video about your depression.

  • Actually, no. Although a bit of understanding of one's condition can certainly help.

  • I want a flashlight like that. All the way to the clouds. :O

  • Whilst the account is fictional, THAT part of the story is actually based on reality. One day on a summer camp I did manage to illuminate the clouds with my flashlight. I couldn't believe it.

  • Right on.

  • A knife, a fork, a bottle and a cork.

  • This has all happened before and it will all happen again. Information Society?

  • hm?

  • I'm trying to remember what that phrase means and if it came from a song and the artist that created it. Bob Dylan or Information Society or neither?

  • Ah. Apologies. I knew it as a song by Dillinger watch?v=ZttaSgrsy84

  • Yes, irrational fear & a vivid imagination can play tricks ;)

  • definitely. Sometimes huge, organised tricks that sweep billions off their feet.

  • The magician's of today would have been put to death swiftly in the past. Imagine David Copperfield pulling a fast one back then..ha! ;)

  • Shine,

    People, let your light shine.

Maybe the answer is just this simple song.

    Let everybody shine along,

To keep the world from going wrong.

    Let your light shine

    Shine, shine, shine, shine.

  • [smile]

  • Except I was holding it ;-)

  • T'was the source of all life that brought forth the darkness.

  • deep :-)

  • no moonlight ?

  • With those dark, menacing clouds? No moonlight to be seen anywhere :-)

  • bravo. that was excellent.

  • Thank you!
