Patience = the quality of being patient, as the bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, without complaint, loss of temper, irritation, or the like.
Is there a name for this sort of box room genre of gaming? I'm searching for this other game of the same genre that I used to have on maybe the Megadrive or Snes. If I remember right, you controlled some kind of cartoony ghost person like Vivi from Final Fantasy IX
@weds9994 Mmm, that wasn't the one I was thinking of. I remember a lot of platforming involved with jumping on blocks & some spikey floor tiles. I think so anyway - it's frustrating trying to think back with such vague memories! The rooms were more square-box-like, like in this game, and it wasn't an RPG. Thanks a lot for the help though! I'll try searching using those terms you suggested!
@weds9994 No, that's not it. I used to love playing Toejam & Earl 2 though! I found one person's list of isometric games so far but it's not there. I'm sure the one I'm after was definitely a 16-bit, early 90's one. I'll keep searching! Thanks!
This is an old favourite of mine. Completed it when I was around ten years old on my amstrad, downloaded it on my mac for free from retrospec and can't even get near. Need more practice I guess. Hats off to this guy, who never even lost a life. They don't make games like this any more!!!
Jeeezz i remember this back from when i was a child back in the 80's but i had head over heels for the ZX Spectrum 48K but i could never get the gist of the game on what i had to do tho lol! so watching how its done now is pretty cool with me :)
I never owned an Amiga, but it only took a few seconds to realize this game uses the same engine as Solstice for NES, another awesome game. Looks like I'll have to get myself an Amiga emulator and a Head Over Heels ROM...
@jwurmz: Actually isometric games of this ilk were popular on 8-bit computers in the 80s long before Solstice on the NES. One of the first games of this type was Knight Lore by Ultimate on the ZX Spectrum.
I love this game! Was on the point of finishing it (had 4 crowns) when we dropped the disk and it broke! Have just downloaded it about 15 years later and trying to finish it again!
This was back when game makers believed a game should be really really hard to complete. I love this game, but there are so many little traps in it that are purely designed to piss you off!
Thank you for this awsome movie!!! This was a nostalgic trip like no other =) I only played it on C64, but I rememeber it took some months of training before finishing this game - Phew!!! =D
The only thing that sucked about this (otherwise excellent) game was the lack of a save option. Sure, you had the resurrection fish things, but it was just too long a game to try completing in one session.
One person wants to play with himself. :o)

@tonyuk1977 No I realised what it was in the end - a game called Solstice for the Nes. Glad I finally found it!

(about the different counted rooms)
Perhaps the two versions (C64, Amiga) count differently the rooms you explore.
For example, when you pass from the same room by different characters is counted as one or two ?

Think my brother and I completed this when I was kid but I never had the patience to go it alone, so well done!
The remixes are a good idea, as this game has no music except on the C64 version between screens.
You know, its funny how some platforms are cheese sandwiches because that what I'm eating as I watch this! HA!

What is this character supposed to be? Some kind of thalidomide baby? Just arms and head. Gets around ok though.

@HelloOtter
The bubble bobble music in the game is not from the Amiga. Whoever created this put this on afterwards.
