  • when are you guys gonna make new videos for new exercises for the vertical.

  • hey chase,

where would i find the vertical leap program i cant seem to find it in the website

if i work on that program would it also make me faster or quicker etc.

  • I notice that a lot of your posts are dated and I am interested on starting a good program and I saw your posts are very helpful. Any updated tutorials on increasing vertical leap?

  • "there is no right answer for how many reps and sets you should do. I personally believe you get the most out of working the muscle to fatigue then resting and repeating until fatigue again" - chase curtiss. Does this hold true for weight lifting as well, because I usually do three sets of 5-10 reps for all exercises. And how much rest is necessary between sets?

  • Hey Chase! Love your video. I just wanna ask, how many repititions and sets should i do for each exercise? Like lunges, squats, push-ups, pull-ups. I'm 14 btw.

    Thanks!

  • @josh0429 JOSH, there is no right answer for how many reps and sets you should do. I personally believe you get the most out of working the muscle to fatigue then resting and repeating until fatigue again. Focus more on having perfect form doing these exercises daily and maybe twice per week do them to fatigue.

  • @chasecurtiss oh ok. thanks for the reply chase :)

  • Hi Chase, does jogging consistently improves your stamina?Or suicide is more preferred? If so, than how many suicide do you recommend us to do per day?

  • @pointblankism It is much better to train in intervals for cardiovascular fitness. By pushing yourself to the limit and allowing for short rest periods, you mimic the game of basketball. This is also the best way physiologically to improve cardiovascular fitness. Try to shorted the rest periods between intervals as you are able to in order to continually challenge yourself!!!

  • @chasecurtiss Thanks for the advice ! I will work on it !

  • hy i needed help with long range shots ... i have seen ppl shoot lke dey keep d ball over thre head and shoot ..... for me wen i try that d ball dsnt evn reach... and d way i shoot most of the times it dosnt go in ... usually it hits d rim n bounces bck.... plz hlp me out>>>>>>>

  • So Chase, height is only decided by your genes and maybe, a bit of stretches?

  • @pointblankism: Height is completely based on genes. Proper alignment will allow you to stand more upright and may add a very small amount, but there is nothing you can do to improve your height, only thing you can do is thank your parents!

  • @chasecurtiss Man is this too late if im 15 years old

  • Chase, do you know how to improve in aggressiveness? I'm really small for my age get pushed around alot. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • @PokeAsian11 I dont have any specific suggestions other than just the mental preparation. You have to begin your aggressive play by having an aggressive attitude, it really has very little to do with physical attributes, it is all about your mentality.

  • Hi chase again , thanks for answering my questions , but does ankle weight affect our growing of height at this age?(13-18years old)

  • @pointblankism No, ankle weights will not hurt your growth!

  • Hi chase , do you recommend age between 13-18 to use ankle weights?

  • @pointblankism Ankle weights are not bad, but you dont want to change the way you move by adding weight to your ankles. Try using these weights specifically for one exercise like jump squats, then taking them off.

  • Hey Chase, What do you suggest I do to increase my vertical?

  • Check out my new video and keep an eye out for the ShotScience Vertical Leap Program coming up in early March!

  • chase, does weightlifting slow or stop my height growth?if so,what alternatives can I use to increase my body strength?because i play forward and i need to have some strong muscles,to help me down low in the paint...btw I'm only 14,5'9 in height..THX!!

  • @mockersucker619 Sorry for the delayed response!! The real message of this video is that weight training, with heavy weights especially is not needed. It is much more important to be stable and flexible to be strong. Focus more on developing balance and stability and you will dominate in the post!!!

  • 3rd comment!!!

  • Congrats!

  • what a pity.i`m too old for watching this.

  • You can still use these suggestions to get a strong foundation of strength. It's a good place to get started. Pass this on to anyone you know who's in this particular age group. Thanks, Ericka!
