WE ALL ARE PEOPLE. and we should help each other!Look how many Americans took their business to China ( for cheap labor) and make money of of us and China raised up, why dont they open some factories in Mexico to give Mexicans some work so they wont have to come here...?!?!?!? Nice point. Mexico has added factories--foreign and domestic--and has bounced back economically. We happen to have big hurdles--weak currency, many people at low education level, weak tax system + govt corruption.

But in general we have a very good private sector that struggles with boom and bust cycles. The issue is that we are a socialist country (big govt) and that is our achilles heel, while the private sector is our strength (but the laws/policies do not favor it).

Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France... those are real socialist countries. Canada is more socialistic than we are, but I would still call that country capitalist.

America is build on immigrants, and the economy got bad only after the government started to mess with immigrants!!! Once they will pass the bill ( hopefully soon) America will gain its power back and the economy will get better. Instead of monetary aid to poor countries, the laborers are allowed access to the labor market. Bosses capitalize on the cheap labor, increasing American wealth; immigrants (both kind) learn skills and send their money abroad as aid to specific family members.

The immigration reform will bring at least 150 billion into the US treasury. Additional to this if all of those undocumented people get papers they will feel more secure for their future and they will start buying cars, houses, spend their money and help the economy. thought i'm a liberal, i tend to agree with the republican on this issue. Right now is not the time to tinker around with immigration reform. The republicans will wipe the floor with obama and possibly take back congress in 2010. Lets focus on the already stacked agenda we have on our plates.
