I love Eddie's guitar style. He truly is a innovative and extremely creative guitar player. He's my favorite of all time. There are plenty of phenomenal guitarists out there too, don't get me wrong here. I just Eddie's style and technique on the axe.
Rollingstone is not my favorite magazine. They are too busy trying to cover all kinds of music. I look at guitar magazines for polls of the best guitar player.
@hittingnote75 True.. very true. On Rolling Stone he is 76.. and all of these other guitarist are in front of him. But Rolling Stone is kinda Effed up if you might say.
No it's Rich Wyman on piano. The song your thinking of is Respect the wind from the movie twister. They resemble eachother a lil but are different. This is definately a masterpiece though.
it is not Alex playing the piano. It is Rich Wyman. Edward Van Halen produced part of the album Fatherless Chilkd; he also plays on it and he is doing some vocals. Check out Rich Wyman's website and you will read all about it.
According to Rich Wyman's website, the songs on the 'Fatherless Child' album recorded with EVH (there therefore must have been more than one song done with EVH) were recorded between Feb '93 and early '94. Wyman, EVH and Andy Johns produced the songs. EVH played guitar and bass.
Funny how in "The Water sings" in the context of Ed makes me think of his many fans who want to literally piss in my mouth for writing negative reviews of some of his songs.
I want to thank Rich Wyman for this beautiful song and extra awesome to have Eddie play guitar on it. I'm using it for my website opener. Thanks again Rich for letting me use it too. You ARE mentioned. Haha. Great Job.
This song is a collaboration between Eddie Van Halen and Rich Wyman on Wyman's album Fatherless Child. I'm not sure if EVH is on piano or guitar in this one though. But yes, it is a beautiful peice of music.
WOW dude I thought my all time favorites songs from Eddie were Pleasure Dome from F.U.C.K and Once from VH3.But now I realize that those are The Water Sings from Fatherless Child and Pleasure Dome.Indeed Eddie is a Musical Genious.
This track was recorded in 1996 its on rich wyman's album fatherless child were eddie helped out his buddy, also plays on the little things track ed sings on that album as well its awesome.rock on guys
@Ed5150army Hes definetly stood the test of time!!! People say shit about his playing now but they werent around when Ed was young!!! He could never and never will be touched!!!
@Ed5150army Ofcourse he's a genius! He wrote "all" the music and he's the best freakin' musician the world has ever known, and also the rest of the band =)
