  • Sounds a lot like Respect the Wind from Twister...

  • I love Eddie's guitar style. He truly is a innovative and extremely creative guitar player. He's my favorite of all time. There are plenty of phenomenal guitarists out there too, don't get me wrong here. I just Eddie's style and technique on the axe.

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.... I can't stop laughing at this....

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.... This is fucking hilarious.... do you have a fucking shrine hidden in your closet douchebag....

  • Rollingstone is not my favorite magazine. They are too busy trying to cover all kinds of music. I look at guitar magazines for polls of the best guitar player.

  • Eddie is so underrated :/ He should be on every "Top 10 Guitarists of all time".

  • @chez117 He usually is for Guitar World magazine or Guitar magazine.

  • @hittingnote75 True.. very true. On Rolling Stone he is 76.. and all of these other guitarist are in front of him. But Rolling Stone is kinda Effed up if you might say.

  • God Bless You Eddie... Thank You For All The Incredible Years Of Van-Halen...

  • No disrespect an all but this song is so gloomy makes ms feel like someone died

  • No it's Rich Wyman on piano. The song your thinking of is Respect the wind from the movie twister. They resemble eachother a lil but are different. This is definately a masterpiece though.

  • Alex IS on piano!!!

  • It was also during the end credits to the movie " Twister".

  • it is not Alex playing the piano. It is Rich Wyman. Edward Van Halen produced part of the album Fatherless Chilkd; he also plays on it and he is doing some vocals. Check out Rich Wyman's website and you will read all about it.

  • truely beautiful

  • An absolutely beautiful piece from a god himself.

  • 2:13 is that Iommi or Blackmore?

  • @efzt Tony Iommi

  • Awesome

  • He is credited with playing the piano and Guitar. But we all know it's Alex on the piano.

  • EDDIE IS GOD

  • wow this is astounding. Thanks for posting man, a great track indeed

  • Eddie is playing guitars on this song... not the piano.

  • Sure has that Respect the wind Vibe!!!

  • According to Rich Wyman's website, the songs on the 'Fatherless Child' album recorded with EVH (there therefore must have been more than one song done with EVH) were recorded between Feb '93 and early '94. Wyman, EVH and Andy Johns produced the songs. EVH played guitar and bass.

  • I want to thank Rich Wyman for this beautiful song and extra awesome to have Eddie play guitar on it. I'm using it for my website opener. Thanks again Rich for letting me use it too. You ARE mentioned. Haha. Great Job.

  • ive been listening to eddie for years and never once heard this song. but if it is truly him then very well done

  • This song is a collaboration between Eddie Van Halen and Rich Wyman on Wyman's album Fatherless Child. I'm not sure if EVH is on piano or guitar in this one though. But yes, it is a beautiful peice of music.

  • this is a great song

  • EddIe has a passion to put a smiie on people faces !

  • That could have been in Titanic~!

  • Does sound very similar to respect the wind. I like this better though

  • Agreed. The chord progression is identical to respect the wind

  • This might be the most beautiful piece of music that Eddie ever wrote!!

  • What a master, I want to know what did he use to think when he was younger...

  • WOW dude I thought my all time favorites songs from Eddie were Pleasure Dome from F.U.C.K and Once from VH3.But now I realize that those are The Water Sings from Fatherless Child and Pleasure Dome.Indeed Eddie is a Musical Genious.

  • This track was recorded in 1996 its on rich wyman's album fatherless child were eddie helped out his buddy, also plays on the little things track ed sings on that album as well its awesome.rock on guys

  • What's this piece from?

Is this Ed or Alex on piano?

It's not from the "Twister" soundtrack?

  • One of the greatest musicians to be born on the planet. A true virtuoso.

  • Amazing music. Edward's virsitility is what seperates him from all the others.

  • Nice find Kev! But I must say that I prefered The Little Things more than this one.

  • Edward is a musical genius

  • agree 100 % !

no way to replicate his musical taste !

    we love ya Eddie !

  • @Ed5150army Hes definetly stood the test of time!!! People say shit about his playing now but they werent around when Ed was young!!! He could never and never will be touched!!!

  • @Ed5150army Ofcourse he's a genius! He wrote "all" the music and he's the best freakin' musician the world has ever known, and also the rest of the band =)
