A Dire Wolf is far better than the piece of shit that the Atlas is. A horrible mix of weaponry, narrow allowance for customization, and it has the similar speed and armor to a Dire Wolf. Also, speed means almost nothing against weapons traveling at light-speed, such as the 4 ER Large Lasers on a Dire Wolf. You want to try fighting one in a Raven, be my guest, but you will end up a smoldering hulk before you can do significant damage.

Kinda sad how no one wanted to touch this game, and therefore the reason why it was Remodelled into MechWarrior Online, all because it's a 'dead franchise'. People are willing to put cash behind Duke Nukem Forever but not MechWarrior? Keep in mind the Franchise wasn't even that dead. Yeah, the last MechWarrior game came out in 2002 (Mech4:Mercs) and recently went Free through MekTek, However, there is also MechAssault, which had a sequel and DS game. Same 'world'.

I like older games where they actually tried to make a game. WC2 and 3, SC:Brood War, Diablo 1 and 2, Freespace 2, MechCommander and MechWarrior. Even Frontmission for the PS1, the old Final Fantasy games (Any game made before the PS2 is good in this series, even the PS1 FFT), The 'Mana' games up to Sword of Mana. I rarely play games that came on systems after the Gamecube. PS2, Gamecube and XBOX, that's the era that got to see gaming die slowly.

@harkeill Really in the tech manual it says that it is imposible to get a nuclear explosion because the fusion reactor is just plasma that is creating the power, a nuclear explosin like that need some kind of reaction for it to explode. this is why battlemechs use fusion power instead of fission because there cannot b a runaway reaction that blows up.

@thezackers96 I'm pretty sure he's piloting a warhammer. At least thats what it was called in mechwarrior2. Some of the mechs originally had different names in battletech. Like the timberwolf/madcat. But in mechwarrior 2, the mech with the rifles for arms and the missile pod on the right shoulder with the cockpit in the chest was a warhammer 80ton assault mech. The other one is an Atlas like you said.

its a trailer being made by a small-ish company i would rather they didn't blow a ton of time and money on a trailer like they did for battlefield 3. real world factors aside it was an urban combat video and that WAS an atlas i mean really you don't want to show that thing your back or your dead and you can't stand toe to toe and think you will win. i remember in MW 4 merc on urban levels a lot of battles went down just like this more or less.
