  • No hair net? I check rooms all the time and the biggest thing I find is hair on the bed, in sinks n tubs...

  • how is this extreme housekeeping? this is normal cleaning

  • obviously this video was not meant as step by step 'how to clean the hotel room", (everyone should be able to recognize the editor's cuts otherwise it would be too long and boring) and should be viewed as such. I do however agree that gloves for cleaning bathroom/toilet are not optional but compulsory, if staff choose not to wear them (as many will) it is their own risk. The toilet must be wiped top to bottom, using any antibacterial chemicals doesn't make the shown method hygienic.

  • I want to congratulate you and every housekeeper out there. I'm currently doing a study/project on worker abuse. Mainly on hotels. In some hotels, workers are being exploited and sometimes don't even get enough pay.

    Congratulations on your hard work(:

  • no gloves?????

  • @archelle18 We do supply gloves, but or staff choose whether to wear them or not. The important issue is the use of a bacteriacidal cleaning liquid.

  • @QFHotelsTV Im a housekeeper too and we have 'safety trainings' going every month. I believe without using a gloves while cleaning, conducts a very bad habit at the same time even you are using the 100% anti bacterial chemical it is still not SAFE because a chemical can cause harm to our skin and through our body. It can cause some chemical reactions.

  • correct..and sometimes it will make your hands skin dry..

  • i would be proud to stay there.

  • I agree this cleaning is not acceptable in my opinion. She goes from the bottom of the toilet up with what appears to be the same cloth ewwe. Honestly you need to clean with someone that is going to take off the germs and bodily fluids rather than just spread them around. the way she cleaned the tub and sink were also gross. And notice she did not clean anything on the desk, just wiped the desk down. Gross.

  • @MySonIsAdorable The Bacteriacidal cleaning liquid bottles are clearly visible and of course a different sponge is used for different arewas of the bathroom. Our staff have the choice whether to wear gloves or not.

  • @QFHotelsTV :

It looks like she is using the same sponge to wipe the toilet seat as she does the rim of the toilet! That is what concerns me! Being the rim first then wiping down the side of the bowl YUCK and back to the toilet seat! That isn't healthy! SICK! I will never stay at this hotel. And, please, do not paste the same reply as you have been to every single comment viewers have made. You aren't listening very well! Maybe we Americans are just cleaner?

  • @Sparklegrl1 Thank you for your comment on our video "Extreme Housekeeping". It is very clear that the production of this video has not been as clear and accurate as it should have been. Our housekeeping staff most certainly do not use the same cloth to clean the toilet as they do to clean the washbasin and bath. They use different cloths of the same type. We are changing our procedures today so that we use visually different cloths so that no uncertainty is possible by our guests. Thank you.

  • NO GLOVES !!!!!!!!!!! EVEN NO WATER WHILE CLEANING

LOOK CLEAN BUT IN FACT IT IS NOT!!

  • I like the idea of the video but a few hygiene issues. No gloves whilst cleaning the toilet (she even turns the sponge over) and then it looks like the same sponge cleaning the bath, gross! But hopefully I'm wrong. Looks clean however... but.

  • A very thorough job! I'd have no problem staying at this hotel!

  • u r hardworking bt u made a magic cleaning ... not even using health safety equipment... but lol u r beautiful... good job! :)

  • gfgfsgdsf

  • where are your gloves miss... even toilet?? !! I can't do it even my own toilets I have to use gloves all the time..

  • yiacks she did all with naked hands!!

definitively i could not do this job daily and on many rooms, with my home cleaning is enough

  • the most horrible story I had heard about hotel service was came from a holiday in Egypt... the maid clean the bathroom, the ashtray of the living room and the dust with only one clout :S

  • You should never clean the inside of the toilet then the seat, then the cover. Always do the cover, then the seat, then the inner ring otherwise you're moving the nastiness up to the part of the toilet people actually sit on.

  • wouldn't that leave splashes of liquid under the seat? cleanign the cover and seat last would remove what is splashed from the bowl.

But where this person went wrong is she didn't wash out the cloth before doing that

  • Супер!

  • Is she not using gloves?

  • the way they taught me, you're supposed to open windows first, retire all the bed clothing, get the garbage out and clean the room and bathroom. Then you close all windows and then you can start rearranging things, organising stuff, making the bed and last cleaning details (such as polishing bronze objects or furniture polishing, getting stains off from any mirrors, vaccuum cleaning, etc).

Bed clothing might get ruined by some cleaning products or stained, that's why you leave it for later.

  • Not often you get a behind the scenes look at how the bedrooms and bathrooms are prepared - very good.
