ya i from pa and i understand ya " * I guess that how we talk but i still can't get over the words "WARSH" and "Y"uns " I try not to say them but it does slip a few time
i find it hard to figure out pennsylvannia accents. sometimes it's southern, midwest, eastcoast. it's all kind of mashed together. you sound like you are from the midwest honestly to me. people from pittsburg very often have a bit of a southern accent though. i can say that.
i LOVE american accents... especially the pennsylvania accent... it is defonatly the strongest of all the american accents to my ears anyway. I got other friends from PA also you have different accents, but both very strong... very nice accent!
NC. N down on the outer banks they have what is called "brogue". Kinda Irish or sometimes Aussie. The Lumbees speak "Lum"(kinda creole soundin) I speak piedmont(very similar to the App dialect) except more Tuckahoe sounding i.e. plainer accent. And up north theirs this lil strip which speaks virginia piedmont. Very refined sounding(more like gone with the wind).
im from scranton and i guess my accent is stonger cuz its a coal region or something like that but you do song like your from allentown. :D

Given that there are at least 11 major dialects and accents in Pennsylvania, I hardly think it's possible she can have a "standard PA" accent.

Surely if you put someone from Alabama and someone from Manhattan together, you could tell the difference.
