  • You seem very knowledgeable,so I am hoping you can shed some light for me. I have been avoiding the retinol products because I am trying to conceive. Anyway,I have researched other alternatives and am curious what you think:matrixyl 3000,coenzyme q10,hyaluronic acid. Also, this stuff can be expensive,so I was happy when I found IQ Natural coQ10 Repair Serum, but skeptical too, b/c it was cheaper than others. What do you think of this product? Also, would I still need an antioxidant too with this?

  • I have always heard that any type of retinol (or anything with retin in the beginning of the word) is not safe for women who are pregnant or are trying to conceive. Is this true, or is it only true for certain types. I am specifically curious about the Retinaldehyde. THanks!

  • What do you think about AHA?

  • I was interested enough to try to go register so I could see the prices but it looks like it is only sold to professionals?

  • @craftyone2000 Yes, the Osmosis website is for reference only. You can watch videos where Dr. Johnson explains the data behind the ingredients as well as his views on commonly accepted treatments. You have to buy the products from an esthetician or doctor. My website has prices and a place to order or you can call Osmosis and ask if there's anyone in your area that has their products. Hope this helps! :))

  • retinol no matter what form is a proven irritant. it swells the skin and gives that red, glassy appearance. why you so called pros are pushing this crap on us is beyond me. stay away people, go natural. stick with ingredients that the body recognizes like collagen elastin, oatmeal, natural lactic acid like in yogurt or non fat milk. look at how red her skin looks, does that look good?

  • @obamaboy1 I'm sorry you feel so passionately about us "so called pros" not knowing what we are talking about. I am not "pushing" retinol. The fact is that it is the only proven ingredient to slow the signs of aging. RetinA is very irritating. The reason I love the Osmosis brand is because it is NOT irritating. Study skin a little more before you sling insults. Retinaldehyde is a NATURAL vitamin A derivative that the body recognizes. As for my skin, I have lots of sun damage

  • @kathyspears from years of sun exposure in California. I'm sorry you think it looks so bad and I assure you it looks lots better than it used to since utilizing my skills as a medical aesthetician. Google retinaldehyde and study how it's different, natural, well tolerated (even by people with eczema) and more effective. When you get a little older you will be thankful for this wonderful ingredient. :)

  • I'm 28 normal to dry skin --- what products from your website do you recommend for anti aging and dryness

  • Hi qm new here , I am 27 years old, should I start using an anti-age eye cream, and i've seen one at the body shop that is a vitamin A eye cream...what should I be using ?

  • @MsRoxana84 I think at your age, it's best to start with an all-over retinoid (vitamin A) serum. It slows down aging as well keeps the skin clear of blemishes. Of course, I recommend the Osmosis because of the way it's formulated, but really, any is better than none! :)

  • Hi kathy, I'm wondering what you think of Catalyst by Osmosis? For clogged pores, acne, aging, and hyperpgmentation would you suggest Catalyst or Boost. I love renew and clarify, so I was considering trying one of those 2. Also, does Catalyst really help with sun protection too? Thanks!!

  • Hi Kathy,

What do you think of Retin A Micro claiming that its less irritating because its capsulated in “micro-sponges'?

I know you said retin a needs to be in a serum not a moisturizer for it really to do anything, Is this true for antioxidants?

What % of retin a gel would the osmosis retinaldiyde be similar to?

Does the Exfol-A's vitamin A have as much penetration as the osmosis does?

    Thank you!

  • At what age should you start using such a serum? I am 22 and am beginning to notice a few fine lines between my eyebrows (weird??) and just a few teeny ones under my eyes.

  • I´ve learnt more watching your vids than in my whole life! What do you think about Vitamin A supplements - pills??

  • @julydiaz00 Be very careful about vitamin A supplements. Beta carotene is not recommend for the general population. (It is associated with an increased risk of cancer for smokers as well as death for lung cancer patients.) Best to get your vitamin A from food! :)

  • Kathy This is just such wonderful information ! I can't tell you how happy I am that I found your channel !! Thank you SO much for sharing !! Susie ~

  • Thanks for your honesty and great video...it's nice to get the truth told to you. The drugstores got us "anti-agers" hunting and searching for the "fountain of youth" in a bottle and we might as well be putting marshmallow cream on...ha ha...thanks again. :)

  • @eighthcylinder That's really funny!!! But now you know better! Moisturizers HYDRATE and serums deliver anti aging ingredients to the dermis where they can do something! Vitamin A is a must have for everyone wanting to slow down the aging process! Thanks for watching! :) Kathy

  • do you suggest using the Osmosis Renew....or just going to the Dermatologist and getting a perscription?

  • @kristinamorris19 I prefer the Renew over prescription retinoids as they are less irritating and quite possibly more effective. :) Kathy

  • @kristinamorris19 I prefer the Osmosis because it has a liposome covering that cause 1000% better penetration to the dermis and also keeps it from being irritating to the epidermis causing flaking and redness. Good luck! Kathy :0

  • i just placed my order for the osmosis renew i cant wait to try it!!

  • @heatherkelley1 Hi I saw that you bought renew. How are you liking the renew serum? and if you don't mind me asking, was your only concern aging or acne possibly too? I already bought I few products from Kathy, but am still using my prescription retin a, but am thinking of trying an osmosis serum for acne & aging.

    Thanks!

  • Would you recommend using Vitamin A cream? Specifically, the one by Jamieson that can be found in drugstores. I've been using it for a while (almost done the jar), and have been planning on repurchasing, but now that you say a heavy cream is not efficiecient, i'm not so sure

  • @nessisms No, I don't believe vitamin A creams do anything. You need a serum! Kathy

  • Hi kathy, I am 18 years old, soon to be 19 and I have very acne prone skin. I occasionally get the hot painful ones, but mainly just have black heads and white heads. I am interested in the Osmosis line because I always hear you should start anti aging serums at around my age, and I know it can also help with acne right? should i be ordering the renew, or the boost?

  • @Amayahuu You should be using the Renew. The good news is that Vitamin A was first formulated for acne and the anti aging benefits were a happy side affect! Good luck! Kathy

  • Thank you so much for all these helpful videos. When using a serum such as Renew, do you also put it under your eyes and on your eyelids? TY

  • @johnsmithsspottedpig No, not on the eyelids or undereye area. You can put it up to the cheek bone. I do carry a vit A serum specially formulated for the undereye area. :) Kathy

  • Hi, due to the fact I have lupus my skin is in really bad shape, I am so dry and nothing seems to help my dry skin. I know it is all the meds I have to take but that I can't help. I was looking at the boost serum is that what you think would help me most I can afford only 2 or 3 products so if you would point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. god bless and ty so much for your video's.

  • @iloveshoppingmakeup Hi, sorry you have to deal with Lupus...You would be best off with Immerse and Mend. The Boost is way too strong for you. Good luck. Write me a message (in box) if you need more help. :) Kathy

  • What is the name of the product that you are recommending? I know it is Osmosis skin care but they have several to pick from and I think your video is cutting off before you say the name. Thanks!

  • @Rockysmom1234 Oh, sorry about that! I usually start people on the Renew unless they have really sensitive skin or rosacea. For sensitive - try the Correct, for rosacea - try the Mend! Hope that helps. :) Kathy

  • Thanks so much, you are so knowledgeable! You've already got me looking at the Osmosis brand!

  • Hi Kathy! I am a new subscriber today (thanks to ginabinawina) and I am going through all your videos and loving them! (I love Donna too!) Anyway, I just wanted to ask why you don't believe in toners?

  • @clareloveskandee That's a great question! They aren't really necessary any more as just about all of our cleansers are ph balanced. In the old days toners brought the skin back to its acidic balance after alkaline cleansers. Oily skinned people really like toners to leave the skin "cleaner" feeling. Usually that really means you've stripped the lipid barrier. I'd rather see someone cleanse twice and skip the toner! Hope that helps... :)Kathy
