The original Pro Wrestling was putting people to sleep so they had to liven it up. Apparently, this began in the 1930s and then the GOAT, Gorgeous George, really got things going.

Gotta respect Lex for being HONEST about his drug use, not just talking AGAINST it now. Alot of guys get chewed up and spit out by the "game" and then they want to talk crap about the "guys on drugs" (i.e. jose canseco)..its YOUR body, and do with it what YOU want, but to be honest like Lex is, I have alot of respect for that.

If you think wrestling is fake, try doing Judo. They are arguably the same thing, Judo just has less flair.

When you do your move/throw, it's the thrower's responsibility to help the person being thrown to land properly. If you help them, it still hurts. If you don't, it hurts a LOT more and causes serious injury. It's staged, it's predetermined, but I doubt wrestlers spend thousands of dollars on surgery, just because they're "in character."

At some point you missed there honest retorts, yes there is alot of "known factors" in the game they never did deny it. But the game is what it is also remember its entertainment, Ddp put it right..."can you fake gravity?" 500 lbs of paul wight/ big show..is 500lbs of holy shit when he falls on you, and sorry it hurts last i knew. I may not have wrestled long i did it for a year but i gained a greater respect for those who came before me. Its a life choice and the movie portrays that in its purest essance! thank you for making it!

I think Valentine raises an excellent retort: If it's so fake, why is it so hard for wrestlers to get health insurance? I also trained for a few years and have been a mark since Kindergarden. I just saw the film today after much waiting and I have to say that not only is it cinematically an excellent film, but I'm so glad as a mark to have an honest and heartfelt portrail of the business and it's performers.

blading is always been apart of wrestling, its nothing new, but its part of the show, when you work a match, you have to protect yourself and the guy youre working with, and do you think that getting busted open the hard way is a good thing for your body? no, so they blade to sell the spot without injuring the person to the point where they cant walk or talk right.
