I have looked this fight up and ALi an Marciano actually sparred for around 70 to 75 rounds, then the fight was spliced together based on these actual sparring rounds, it is told by many that were there and by ALi even now, that at times it became very heated in their exchanges and that even at his age, Rocky was very elusive and threw several of the hardest body shots he had ever taken, at 1 point, Ali made a comment Rocky did not like and he hit Ali for real and he said it was 1 of the hardes

I think your arguments are very naieve Marciano would have been destroyed by most of the top heayweights. He had a very crude style of fighting which against blew par opposition might have proved successful, but against more techincally gifted fighters would have been taken to pieces. Ali is the greatest fighter, promoter, sportsman, athlete of all time.Marciano was the greatest White fighter of all time. I respect the Rock, who was part of the Mafia, short w/ short arms, a true gangster. But He fought Ezzard Charles who was about 45 and Jor Louis when he was about 50 or 60 yers old. He didnt fight any back fighters in their primes. he would be out boxed, out classed and knocked out by Ali inside 3 rounds (depending on how Ali felt about Marciano).

Sorry guys, but this is just typical, obviously done by white folks who could not cope with the greatest boxer and possibly the greatest sportsman of all time being black...Since I was a kid, white folks(mostly low educated working class) would alway go on about Rocky's unbeaten record...an how he beat Joe Louis...uh! 1960's Ali easily beats Marciano. Its no contest.Marciano would simply be to slow to keep up and Ali would rip him apart from the outside.
Marciono's only chance would be against 1980 and 1981 Ali past his prime. Just like Hector Camachos only chance to beat Ray Leonard was when Ray was 40 and couldnt move.

In the late 60's during Ali's exile, someone came up with an idea of having a computerized heavyweight tournament to ascertain who the best of all time was, Marciano and Ali were the top two. They both staged this fight according to what the computer said would be the outcome. I am positive the computer was wrong in its conclusion, :)

This is a dvd and when it came out in black neighborhoods Ali won the fight TKO on cuts and in white neighborhoods Rocky Won by Knockout but in real life ali in his prime would have danced around him all night if fraaier couldnt catch him rocky wouldnt have been able to either

I own all three fights ali took frazier the distance after a three year lay off and then he beats him two other times. Rocky was just too short and slow. Ali in his prime was the most fast heavyweight of all time the only chance rocky had was a knockout and ali had a great chin never getting KOed styles make fight and being relistic Rocky didnt have the style

I think your arguments are very naieve Marciano would have been destroyed by most of the top heayweights. He had a very crude style of fighting which against blew par opposition might have proved successful, but against more techincally gifted fighters would have been taken to pieces. I dont think this is even an argument as the overall consensus in the Boxing fraternity is that Marciano just wouldnt cut the mustard against the top tier

Age is NOT a big deal with a heavyweight fighter. With age comes experience and, in Walcott, Charles and Louis, power. They were rated easily the best fighters in Boxing when they were in it, even at their ages. You should try watching and reading about Boxing instead of listening to others on some website.

Okay, here it is. Rocky Marciano retired undefeated, DIED undefeated when his plane crashed. He was 58-0-0 with 56 wins by KNOCKOUT. Do you understand that? Ali retired 56-5-0 with 36 KNOCKOUT WINS. Look at the stats, people. Marciano is better. And yes, Marciano would have completely devoured Foreman. This fight was done when they were older, out of their prime. In Marcianos' prime, Foreman would have fallen in seconds.
