I think that you are confusing a HumVee (H1) with a Hummer (H2 or H3).

A HumVee is what the military currently uses where the H2 or H3 (Hummer) are "civilianized versions made by GM.

Maybe cost vs cost the wrangler will be a better value - but stockk vs stock the win will go with the H3.

@roadtrip1098, The JK models can fit 35" tires with stock suspension height, All models come skid plated where necessary as the vehicle is designed for the parts to be out of harms way. Rubicon comes stock with Front and rear differential lockers and electronic swaybar disconnect.

You don't know what you're talking about because the H3's approach angle is 37.4 degrees, departure is 34.7 breakover is 22.1 degrees. Wrangler is 44.3, 40.4, and 25.5. That defines capability. Win to the wrangler.

@roadtrip1098 you need to learn about those angles because it defines true capability when it comes off road. Suspension height means nothing if your approach and departure angles are crap. Breakover is what REALLY counts because that will keep you from getting high centered. Also, the H3's off road capability is severely hindered by it's weight (4900 lbs) and center of gravity. Lifting the H3 is comical as it throws the COG off dangerously. The jeep only weighs 3092 lbs and is more neutral.

Sure it's not as luxurious as the H3.... but when it comes to capability.. it trashes the H3 stock for stock and in total value. @sixandseven8s The best Hummer (H1) ever made was designed by Jeep in the early seventies. The H2 shares the platform with the Suburban(which is very capable). This is an H3 which is on a smaller platform. All Jeeps were capable until Mercedes stepped in and forced some sh*tty platforms. Some Toyo"s have been good(truck, FJ, Land Cruiser, etc.) and some have'nt(Rav4, Highlander,etc.). People who do their homework know the difference, those who don't get stuck.
