the rubberband keeps the two cards close to each other. without the rubberband the two cards would slide when you drop them. but of course there are better and more convincing ways of doing this trick without rubberbands.

really good but only thing i would do is after u do the false cut and make it second to top thats not very re assuring to the viewer. do the fals triple cut a few times that will get them lost even more
