  • Thanks for this video and 1st & 2nd movement download link, Much appreciated,

  • Elle est merveilleuse il faut avouer.. 3

  • the men in that orchestra are so mean looking

  • Bravo, Julia.

  • 5:26 RAPE FACE

  • Mendelssohn would appreciate it if he could hear Julia Fischer.

  • Es würde Mendelssohn sicherlich freuen, wenn er Julia Fischer und das Chamber Orchestra of Europe hören und auch sehen könnte.

  • julia is actually the conductor, he doesn't set the pace, she does.

  • Beautiful, if rather straightforward playing, and here's the first conductor I've seen leading the orchestra by twitching his eyebrows and ears alone. Hahaha Horrible editing.

  • Nice :)

  • Pasaron 4:45 min y el director se sorprende¡¡¡ de lo bien que ejecuta el instrumento

  • wow

  • Holy Cow...perfection.

  • oh..cute. They all smile ^^

  • BRAVO

  • so amazing. it's perfect.

  • At 0:30 there's a woman playing a piccolo!

  • A short travel in paradise... all playing joyfully, joy of the music, joy of playing together as we can see on their faces - this with the talent of everyone makes an exceptional performance.

  • A short travel in paradise...

  • I love the conductor! This is a fantastic performance (:

  • I'm with 909me1 - this is a truly accomplished soloist. And the accompaniment does her justice.

  • Very nice. But I think I'm in love with the flute player :)

  • Just amazing.

  • Amzing

  • EPIC WIN !!!!

  • love the conductor's face at 2:57

  • love the conductor's face 2:56

    he's liek winking at julia

  • love the conductor's face 2:56

he's giving the wink to julia

  • This is a nice run-of-the-mill performance by a run-of-the-mill performer.....

  • @winrx When you can play Mendelssohn at this tempoand with the technical perfection that she does let me know.....

  • @winrx One of the best performences of the concerto ever! She has the correct interpretation and plays with soo much feeling and conviction! Don't be jealous because your not famous like her...

  • congratulations! you did like god,Dear

  • Amazing

  • this is soo crisp and clean, playful yet not overly done ! I am blown away :)

  • The only ones who disliked this video are inveterate Wagner fans!

  • I love how she smiles listening music at 1:34!

    she is so talented....!!!!!!

  • I absolutely hate the “artsy fartsy” camera work on these types of videos. This is a violin concerto – a virtuoso piece written for solo violin and orchestra, being played by an extremely talented violinist who has obviously studied her craft for many many years. So why does the camera keep focusing in on other parts of the orchestra at extremely inappropriate times when the violinist is playing? Who cares? Save the fancy camera crap for orchestral works that don't have front line soloists.

  • @TheTucsonJeff @TheTucsonJeff I was actually going to say CONGRATS to the editor/cinematographers for conveying a storyline between the soloist and orchestra... Isn't that what a concerto is? :) Absolutely loved the editing, the shots chosen were so appropriate to the musical context. And the conductor's change of expression at 2:55 made me crack up!

  • se siente lo que ella toca,,

  • i can't barely hear her over the orchestra? Perhaps there is some problem with the recording device?

  • As always - all the notes are there, but there is no soul and passion ...

  • That deserved a freaking standing ovation.

  • She is not aggressive enough to do this piece justice. She is a very precise player, but not my favorite take on this movement

  • @DennyLyons

I guess Mendelssohn would have loved it as you hardly hear an aggressive piece composed by him. He was very aware to produce a "nice, perfect sound" in the orchestra as well for the solo instruments. So I guess this would be his choice.

  • oNly 1 word: AMAZING!

  • Who put dislike !! Who can not like this !! ???

  • @Agustinnndombur rapers for sure :)

  • I wish my eyebrows could move as precisely as the conductor's...

  • Además de virtuosa es guapisima.

  • Ela é incrivel! Lindo!!!!!

  • One dislike! Dick!

  • Hey, I think Mr Bean is conducting.

  • Calma, please! To much energy!

  • So, good, medicine for soul. You made my day. Don't know who was better, Julia, conductor or orchestra. Congrats!

  • I love Julia ! she's such an inspiration !

  • Who is the condoctors please? thanks!

  • Great playing, but I HATE the camera work here. Filming her back from behind, focusing on the horns at an important violin part, focusing too close up on the violinist, etc.

  • right, the camera work makes me dizzy

  • This is Mendelssohn!!!!

  • @i7l4 yes!!!!!! good ear!!!!

  • I love both her energy and her sensitivity. Very enchanting performance.

  • 4:41 Is there a name for that conducting technique? =D

  • @r22k10 lol funniest comment ever on utube!!!

  • @r22k10 hahaha :p

  • strepitosa ...

  • Exelente..!!

  • Julia Fischer, born in Munich, Germany, is of German-Slovakian parentage. Her mother, Viera Fischer (née Krenková), came from the German minority in Slovakia and immigrated from Košice, Slovakia to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1972. Her father, Frank-Michael Fischer, a mathematician who was born in East Germany, moved in the same year from Eastern Saxony to West Germany.

  • What Fun!

  • I watched Kyung wha Chung play this just now, and Julia is, by far, cleaner and more deft.

  • Lovely

  • hermoso!!!

  • Very niiiice!!!

  • §§Abgeschmackte Witz über die heiße Flutistin auf 00:30-00:32 die mit derartigem erregenden Verzicht bläst§§

  • i cant find part 1 ><"

  • the best!

  • the breath taking performace for this piece of music in our time! you may check the two greatest recording for this piece of music last century from heifetz with the boston, and stern with the ormandy. the tone, the rhythm, the accuracy just perfect!

the style of the tone it has some similarity between julia and szeryng.

  • Blase.

  • Un ravissement tant pour l'ouïe que pour les yeux !

  • There is no relation between Julia and Ivan Fischer whatsoever.

  • @webmnk And what about Julia Fischer and Daniel Muller?

  • You may download missing parts for private & personal use from URL above.

  • Hi, i really enjoy their Mendelssohn, but wonder if Ivan is Julia's Father? i couldn't find any info about their relation.

  • Julia Fischer hat eine tolle Technik, einen super Ton, aber irgendwie berührt ihr Spiel mich nicht!?!

  • @Necrosphere85 it is because she is apollonian and not dionysian! ;-)

  • winds are strange!

  • Bravo! Bravo! Claps for everyone! Its good that she enjoys her self to!!!

  • Bravo! Bravo! Claps for everyone!

  • Tone it down flutist! Got ants in your pants?

  • This is as perfect a performance as I have ever heard. I never respond to Youtube videos although I access them regularly. This is, indeed, my very first response.

Julia Fischer certainly understands the composer in a profound way, without imposing herself on the piece.

I have never heard the Mendelssohn played better.

  • I agree with you one hundred percent. Not just a great violinist or pianist, but a wonderful humble person. A true artist to the core
