@Rikitocker You can try and claim Ginderman as an "Aussie Pub Band", but with Cave living in the UK since th 80s and Martin Casey being from England, an Australian Pub band is clutching at straws a bit mayte!
@INGEY77 it's spelled "Martyn", who grew up in Australia; Cave has lived in a number of places since the 80s, including back in Melbourne, Berlin and Sao Paulo; Cave has said his music is authentically Australian.
@INGEY77hey twat stop trying to colonise everything, this bands core originate from australia - not least martyn casey - from the triffids prior to the bad seed & grinderman - he is from perth, west australia. cave spent early 80's in london in birthady party before going back to melb & then berlin for most of 80's. guitarist is warren ellis from melbourne currently living in paris & drummer is jim sclavunos ex cramps from usa. you are a fucking idiot.
@100milnic Im not trying to colonise anything you dumb fuck. Get a life, relax, and stop being so sensitive. Its great music, by great musicians, it should not be pidgeon holed into one thing (Aussie pub band) when it simply is not. That is all im saying, if you have trouble accepting that then that is your problem. Try and contain your emotions by not come on here swearing at me.
@INGEY77 so, well then, fuck you - dumb fuck. ohh by the way you're english, so you pretty much like to colonise everything. regardless your comments were factually incorrect, cave lived abroad in numerous states and martyn casey grew up in suburb next to mine, so dumb fuck, relax, and accept you were completely wrong and have little capacity to research topics you are commenting on. ohh yeah, dumb fuck, lay off the swearing.
@100milnic Hahahahaha you crack me up man, im actually starting to enjoy your comments. Have you heard yourself? Bragging that Casey grew up in the suburb next to you!! hahaha I can just see you now sitting infront of you computer jerking off to Grinderman videos. You have a problem my good friend. Why dont you go out, get a girlfriend, and start enjoying life. instead of waiting for the day that Nick Cave lets you hold his penis.
@INGEY77ahh, here we go, you just can't admit you were gigantically wrong, so now you're reduced to lame innuendo - c'mon it just shows you haven't got a fucking leg to stand on. can't defend your position so fall back on what are 'sposed to be big insults. it's just too predictable, give it up.

When I first watched this on Letterman, I watched it in disbelief. I thought you had to be fairly talented to get on a light night talk show. Wrong. These guys are so unbelievably bad that I enjoyed watching it. The facial hair, the small guitar, the idiotic lyrics and the awful melody made it painful to watch and yet I couldn't stop. Whoever is booking talent on the Letterman show should be fired.
@1000Neph I know good music. Twenty years from now, no one will know or care about who Nick Cave is. I'd love to see your music collection. Those CDs will be good for coasters.

Why don''t you just bust out your Limp Bizkit albums and leave rock'n'roll to the pros
Aaaaaahahaha, at the end of the song Warren attempts to press the pedal with his left foot and misses, tries with his right and misses again, tries yet again with his left - resulting in a ridiculous breakdance.
Nick Cave is a force I want to deal with raw talent that keeps getting better, there is not a soul out there that comes even close to his talents and the bands as well, I have driven 500+ miles for his shows and would love to do so again happily...he seems to touch all my emotions for many many years now...
@shalaholo actually warren ellis (the guitarist) is about 6 feet tall, that guitar is just a tenor guitar, a guitar with 4 strings instead of 6, and about half the size.
@StephenDorocke hmmm i guess youre right that is a mandocaster, but he does play tenor guitars also. aside from the longer scale i dont think there is a difference between them
