They're doing pretty good with the games on the ipod/iphone. With the .99 cent quick burst of gaming market which is great for a handheld on the go type of game. Which is a market with plenty of room for another competitor.

At any rate thats a good way for them to dip their toes in the water. But Apples marketing machine is strong enough for them to release a game system if they wanted to.

Game menus, Education, and the internet, the ability to plugin in mac products in the console is like today how you can plug in your cell or mp3 via usb. Not follow understanding what you mean, but Apple between 88-96 had some bad decisions.

Like with what they did with Hypercard, it was at the top of the market and Apple just blew it off, giving it to clarris(who really did nothing with it). Apple's Hypercard was one of the largest dev environment during 87-90, but Apple killed it.
