You are right on! Many bought that book when Edwards was in the spot-light. I already had a copy. In fact I sent copies to several people I am working with. I thought like many it may have been Edwards talking about himself but when I got the 1st mug from my partner and then the 2nd and dug up another then the family photos....I knew. The truth is many people were looking at Edwards, Dryman, Bujok, Gaik, Lee. That does not give anyone the divine right to any suspect! Hell I saw the Allman Brothers before they were famous; doesn't mean I signed them to a record deal! I even gave those idiots information and they still bash me just as they did Rand, Morf, MK, Dennis Kaufman and many others. Hell that site has a complete spot where they just write things about Dennis Kaufman that are horrible!

They did ask you "The tough questions" that could be important. Those questions included "Can we see the various samples of writing so we can judge for ourselves?" or "Can we see a photo of him from 1969?"....both of these requests, you denied and danced around. You gave a couple of us very very small samples, and when I questioned them and told you they didnt look like Z writing, you told me that I just didnt want to help you. What people need to know is Zodiac was created in in response to what happened to this man throughout his life. Bullying in any form should be dealt with seriously. I have been patiently waiting for the hand-prints to come back. The truth is this case is nowhere as complicated as it has been made out to be. Sharon Pagaling Hagan as well as Dr. David Van Nuys are the only people that I have found understand this case to a great degree.

Do you have a good relationship with the police regarding the circumstantial/corroborating evidence you sent them? In other words, are they somewhat grateful to you when you call and give you updates, or do they not even talk to you or return call?

Kevin, dis his family hand you over some Zodiac letters he never finished? His letters he wrote to the newspapers are very Zodiac like. His print even slants downward to the right as Zodiacs did. Did his family talk to you about his demeanor, the way he carried himself? Who is his family? I'm assuming his parents are dead or very very old. Did you talk to his siblings, cousins, wife, or children?

No but we have personal letters from him to family. Yes his letters are very Zodiac like as he is the man. Parents are dead. Family is in Arizona and nice people. He was a loner.

I have not but I pray that he remains well. Graysmith did a wonderful job paving the way for us Zodiac sleuths. His work is the main reason I was able to identify the man I think is Zodiac. I wish to personally thank him and Toschi both for their service and hard work. My Grandfather was a NYPD detective 1st grade. We both were fascinated by this case. Interesting! Have you contacted Inspector Toschi, the retired SFPD detective who put just as much work and dedication as Robert Graysmith? Well, that my opinion based on what I have read. Toschi suffered grave illness and frustration over this case and worked with Graysmith.

Many people were looking at Gaik, Allen, Edward's, whomever as well but no one has done the work that needed to be done to either exclude or identify them. I had asked people to work with me even you. I even gave Nin & you those prints as you both are fine researchers. For your eyes only! You and Zam were the first I contacted when I made a connection. Should I have said "bash me some more now here's some more info?" I did not want this in the wrong hands.. However it's just a tad.

Three days later he wrote a letter back-peddling that he looked like the wanted poster only when he did his thing and he left fake prints to give the cops some busy work. Truth is he looked exactly like the wanted poster and it scared the hell out of him when he saw it. He knew then he'd been seen and he was hot! Back to Montana we go! That's my speculation.

We are really waiting on DNA and finger-print results. So, as soon as they notify me you will know. Yes, we have belongings, letters, wallet, pictures. I think he stopped killing because he almost got caught that night in San Francisco when he murdered Paul Stine. I believe he was ill prepared and did not plan well that night or killed out of rage at something Paul Stine might have said that may have set him off.

Do you know what I want more than anything? It is for Donald Fouke to be recognized for his keen eye the night Paul Stine was murdered. . He reminds me of my Grandfather. Bryan Hartnell is a hero for keeping it together and doing such a great job with his description of Zodiac. I personally hope to thank Robert Graysmith for his excellent work as it most helped our team solve this. I can't stand when people knock the very man that kept this alive. Thank you Mountainguru! It's the man. It drives me crazy because I have sent hand-prints, mug-shot's, and personal pictures, countless interviews with people who knew him and described him to me. I even have personal letters.. Even a copy of his license. It drives me crazy seeing these shows lately that they still don't know who he is. The truth is all of the information to identify him is in LE hands. It's up to them to get a move on. The prints on the stine cab are Donald Lee Bujoks I promise.

What about the famous 340 cypher? Is been solved? Had this Donald Lee Bujok a military knowledge on coding maybe? Or someone else maybe helped him writing those codes?

@goldengab The famous cypher. I am not a guy that works with codes however I believe they may be just signs to give the cops some "busy work." The first codes broken by the Harden's didn't exactly show complexity. Donald Lee Bujok was a loner to the highest degree.... no help.... Thank you for your question.... Always remember that it was a school teacher that broke the first code and a music teacher (me) and museum director Julia Brewer who identified Zodiac.

The most interesting thing I think comes from Brian confession... the killer had a strange voice, almost like a song... and finally, sorry for my curiosity, the voice we heard on tv with Melvin is the real Zodiac voice?

Sometimes during the last year I have felt like the boy who cried wolf! Only I never cried wolf before… So many before me have though, that LE treats anyone coming up with Zodiac information as another fanatic. What irks me is that many of the witnesses who knew Donald Lee Bujok are getting on in years as are the LE Officers of California and victims. One beautiful caring man Bob McNally, one of my 1st interviews just passed on.

Meanwhile, it’s been almost 6 months since I sent LE hand-prints. I would like to see Donald Fouke (for description, walk,) and those kids (now adults) commended along with the artist that did the composite that resulted in the famous 'wanted poster. Bryan Hartnell too!

akwilks: Thank you for your comment. 1: Cheri Jo Bates is not listed as an official Zodiac victim but a possible victim. Handwriting is not seen as a viable evidence tool as it once was. That’s what a detective from Napa told me anyway… I’m not aware of any other whom wrote that “Zodiac’s handwriting was a match to the author of the Cheri Jo Bates letters” I know Sherwood Morrill thought it was a match!

I think Kevin is well intentioned, but Bujok was in prison during the time of the murder of Cheri Jo Bates and the letters, which SFPD, Cal DOJ and the FBI say were written by Zodiac. Thus, it seems virtually impossible that Bujok could be Zodiac, as Bujok was in prison when Zodiac killed Bates and wrote the letters in 1966 and 1967.

I think Robert Graysmith is a good passionate man. Without him this case would have never have been solved. Yes, there may have been errors in his book but without his dedication and hard work this case would have been cold!

If it was not for Julia Brewer documents might have been lost forever. She is my partner and a true hero! Patrolman Donald Fouke should get a medal for his keen eye that night Paul Stine was murdered. He and those children on Washington and Cherry are heroes.

Besides the physical attributes: almost 5’10” 220 pounds, light brown almost blond hair, curly, slightly receded, military cut, flip up front with a red tinge for starters. Was in Deer Lodge Prison, had killed before, was military, was good with a gun, did write to newspapers, like me was probably dyslexic, bullied as a child, had a unique speech pattern, unique gate. Had been in a mental hospital. Small cramped handwriting, I have hand-prints, mugs, handwriting. Want more?

About Edward Edwards: 1st he was a different kind of sociopath than Donald Lee Bujok . Ed was flamboyant, full of himself, self-righteous, able to have sexual relationships as well as relationships with people to some degree. Although still a brutal killer.

Donald Lee Bujok was a loner in the highest degree. He as Edwards wanted recognition but Donald Lee Bujok also wanted revenge too. He was close to no one! He very unassuming. Not good or bad looking but non-descript.
