Will these effects work with integrated Intel graphics? I can tell you the exact graphics if you need me to.

go to where you activate the desktop effects, if it works then woolah, if it doesn't then report back to me with what intel card u have =]

@kiotieiii wha t is the  exact graphics you have but for the most part yes fedora ubuntu and sabayon will work with any graphics(being the leaders) i r ecomend ubuntu for reliability fedora for speed and sabayon f or support and graphical effects(and windows to piss you off(vista))

pm me the exact video card and i will make a recomendation.

dude evertime i go to applications>system tools>nvidia display settings, it says You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server. what do i do??

I need help. I can not enable desktop effects. When I try it says "Desktop Effects could not be enabled". Is there something wrong because of my graphic card. I have Nvidia 9200m 1GB. I herd some people have the same problem but than they downloaded fedora by DVD and it was ok. I downloaded it by Live CD. PLEASE I need help!!!!! I want my windows to wobble on Fedora 11!!!!!!!

you need to install rpm fusion and then install your graphics card driver.

Oh man I love my Fedora so much =D

And those are really the only 2 desktop effects I ever use, so its awesome.

For some reason though, Virtualbox is being a hassle =X

tell me about it, i downloaded virtualbox for fedora retsraed my computer and just got a black screen.

couldnt you of used a Live CD / USB to start your comp up and back that info up? I myself recently attempted installing something on my comp that ended up killing my OSes (i have several Linux Distros installed, F10, F11, F8 (no idea why), LM7 (stoped working), LM7x64 (replace LM7) and Win XPx64 and now none of them are bootable... err, anyhow, I still have access to my Home folder so i still have my stuff... im in the process of backing up my stuff... Working off of a USB Fedora 11 instalation

Although, Fedora 10 and Windows do seem to boot but neither of them can do anything (I cant login with windows and idk WTH happened to F10 since thats the reason why i installed F11) and the main bootloader im using is F10s bootloader so perhaps my grub config is trying to boot partitions that have changed or something. idk. i could try to fix it but at the moment i rather just nuke the HD and start all over nice and fresh as i wanted for a while now. btw i only started using linux 2 months ago

when you install compiz fusion on ubuntu then just go into the settings.

ubuntu. it will prolly recognize your your wifi.

it's far different that ubuntu. the menu layout is completely different. it uses different packaging.

where ubuntu will find your drivers. fedora in most cases gotta activate them in the terminal.

my laptop have ubuntu 8.04 and all my driver work the wifi too but ist the only version of ubuntu that works the best on my laptop i think that i gona try fedora for fun
