I'm not so sure the nozzle insert damage came from the ejection of fuel. Concrete, if it has ANY bubbles in it will explode when it gets too hot. Even without bubbles it will crack. You can buy asbestos rope for use in installing wood stoves. If you were to shred that with scissors and mix it into your concrete, it would take much higher temperatures and be less subject to heat failure.
Haven't you guys pulled off all the super sonic/sub sonic calculations? It looks like your nozzle is not properly designed... Anyways, I'm worried to see people having trouble because I wanted to build this but it looks like it's harder than I thought.
did you use all your oxygen?

It's really not that difficult. You can make it happen with simple tools and a basic metal lathe.

If you can find it Durham Water Putty. It works real good as a nozzle material.

Not really, it just deteriorated. Graphite is the clear choice for nozzles.
