  • And his skills are more remarkable!!! He should write more songs though

  • Antoine Dufour is My personal favourite guitarist. Big respect to Sungha for being able to play his songs at such an early age. This is no doubt true talent.

  • every time i hear him play my eyes tear up :')

  • man im trying so hard to find the correct tabs for this song>>>>>

  • @goodnamesusedup candyrat(dog)com/Tabs.aspx -- Find Antoine Dufour Transcription Set 6. They could not be more correct.

  • No emotion. I can play better than sungha:)

  • @minxydude Really? Lets see you play it.

  • dont be worried about how talented this kid may be more than any of you. i hope great things for him. but it takes practice and patience with each and every one of us yet it also depends on how motivated you are. these videos arent made to prove how many shitty guitarist are out there. Its inspiration about how far music can go with guitar. its not about being better then anyone else. its about playing for yourself and no one else. keep shredding boys and girls!

  • @FloridianAsshole22 Agreed.....He has a point? Don't hate on the kid try playing more complicated pieces like Lawson Rollins?

  • Good, but he seems to lack so much interest and power, this song becomes nothing without the emotions

  • @MySnowfox You know, I practically grew up in an Art high school, so I've done music pretty much all of my life. I know for a fact that children just can't put much emotion into playing an instrument because they are too concentrated to play and to do it well. It is also pretty hard for a kid to feel those emotions that can come out of a complex piece like this is, so for him it is probably all about technique for now. He will get much better once he'll understand it all. :)

  • @carlaismm Yeah, it's true, this song isn't quite easy to play though. This is a piece with deep emotions within, so i don't feel okay without it =.= He's still very good compared to his age.

  • hes so cute! i just wanna dip him in sweet and sour sauce! so talented! :)

  • What this kid is only 10???

  • nice cover mate of 1 of my favorite Dufour tunes. cant wait for you to get more strengh in your hads to really make all those notes resound even more. this guy gonna be remembered

  • fuck sakes...

  • He's actually 50 years old

  • he do not count hes fucking asian "they do everything right"

  • wish My parents Stuck me a room with just a Guitar !!!

  • AMAZING!!! Best cover!

  • How old is he?

  • I get it. You spend your time insulting a kid who is also an exceptional guitarist. I'd like to think that was beneath you. Anyways, I invite you to post a video of yourself playing your own composition, or even your own interpretation of someone else's. Yes you're entitled to your own opinion, but that doesn't mean it's right or we need to hear it. And, unless you yourself are under eighteen, it reflects poorly on you. Keep up the work Sungha, don't listen to the jealous armchair trolls.

  • @trout77x You are one thick cunt. I am certainly not jealous of Sungha. In awe yes. As for insulting him ? I dont think Sungha needs a cock like you telling him to keep up the good work. Now fuck off.

  • @bond007db9

Let me help you a little then because you have a funny way of letting someone know you're in awe of them. Instead of saying the vulgarities you did about Andy McKee, if you would like to encourage Sungha to write something of his own try "Nice covers Sungha. They are brilliantly played. I would love to hear a composition of your own sometime." The reader would then more clearly understand your awe and you would look less like a jealous freak.

    Hope that helps!

  • @trout77x OWNED!!!!! AHHHH!!!!

  • @bond007db9 you are more ignorant than the normal uneducated attention-whore on youtube. he does have original music, written and preformed by him alone. look up waterfall, its an amazing song that will make you shove those words right back down your throat

  • @yahhhshroom Waterfall did not impress me. In fact ithought it was absolute shite.

  • @bond007db9 then why would you bitch about him covering other artists when you know he writes his own as well. why dont you throw a video of yourself jammin an original composition, and we'll see whats absolute shit (thats shit, not shite(further proving the uneducated bit))

  • @yahhhshroom My goodness you are one complete prick ! Because i wrote the word "shite" which is a common expletive used in England you make the assumption im uneducated. Well fuckface it is you who is the uneducated one !

  • WOW

  • Why does this kid have to copy everyone else. If Andy Mckee took a shit on his guitar this kid would copy it.

  • @bond007db9 You don't get it. Sungha has plenty of years to figure out his own composition style, just like you have plenty years left for being a hater.

  • @trout77x I certainly not a hater you muppet. I was merely stating my own opinion which i am entitiled too. I think you dont get it.

  • @bond007db9

By your reasoning, since Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, and the like are all dead, we should never listen to anyone else doing their compositions? This prodigy is showing his love and appreciation of great songs, and does an exceptional job of it. You should STFU and get a life

  • @MyFunnyParodies You stupid cunt ! Where did i say that music should not be covered by other musicians ?Sungha is not a prodigy he is a very talented musician himself. The point i was making is that it would be nice to listen to his own composition. Do not bother to comment because with your lack of intelligence i wont reply. You are the one that needs to get a life, you fucking idiot.

  • @bond007db9

Read your first profane post, fuckwad....you suck as a human. End of story.

  • @bond007db9 You must be retarded. Bless you.

  • @bond007db9 lol thats fucking hilarious i totally get what ur sayin

  • asians have the technology to do write-overs you think he is actually playing pshh

  • Man I've been playing for 6 years and I'm probably not as good as this kid, Koreans ftw?

  • its cool how you play that part different at 2:45 but its making basically the same sounds this kid is amazing..

  • wtf!! damn you oriental bastards always out doing the rest!! :D good job little man...this is quite advanced stuff for a kid whos brain isnt even fully developed

  • slower

  • well this makes me feel like a loser.

  • when he writes a song i will be totally impressed =P

and i hope he do it because is too tallented

  • @Lucius2100 he has written his own compositions

  • if you think your good at something , there is always some asian kid doing it better.

  • Why does this kid copy so many of Antoine Dufors songs?

  • Kid, you are seriously talented. Get everything in writing.

  • damn it I wanna know what Antoine thinks of this kid...

  • Wow.

  • this kid at his age, is a guitar prodigy. Not one song Antoine Dufour, or Andy Mckeey play's is by any means easy. For this child to play such a beautifully composed song is almost something of a savant, so don't judge go back to your three chord three day's grace songs. People like this should be making the real money and for you to judge probably not knowing how to strum a G chord is horrible

  • Jesus, Muhammad, Brahma and Sungha Jung. :)

  • I'm not gonna watch your videos ever again Sungha!!

Because everytime I do...my ears orgasm and it's a bitch cleaning it up!

  • @bluslurpy lol

  • KingSteelHeart

Sungha does play with soul. You can tell from his music.

As for playing for Ozzy.... I think you are talking about some other kid whom I believe to be Japanese. Besides, Sungha only plays classical guitar, just to let you know.

  • saw him last yr playen for Ozzy in blizzcon

  • he is very tech no soul thou

  • this sounds so orgasmic

  • i like how Sungha is outrageously talented, but even this song gives him competition - Antoine must be proud xD

  • Wow I wish my parents had made me practise 7 hours a day when I was a little kid.

  • this kid at 18 once he has fully grown is gonna be a world crusher. Such incredibly good fundamentals. And mentally his ability to learn repetoire is already virtuoso-level. As is much of the material.

Composition...well thats up to him. But he certainly has the tools.

All he needs is a good nickname :)

  • @Gtrplayer77 well he has 12 compositions and 2 arrangements of his own. He's just really good at what he's doing

  • Man this guy's gonna get chicks! Amazingly well played.

  • Boy that was awesome <3

  • grrrrrrAASDGHHHHHH I WANT YOUR HEAD YOU LITTLE... pffssaaAaagAGGGHH

  • Wow, this is mind-melting. Such a talented young artist! Not only that but the diligence that is required to master a guitar at such a young age. Kid's goin' places.

  • because im so jelous im saying your terrible in guitar playing haha:p no man your awesome you have the talent i wish i had when i was young although i manage now;)

  • yes,,,,,wow ,,thats dedication ,,,

  • You are a guitar prodigy! I actually really liked your cover, regardless of your age! You dreamed of becoming a professional fingerstyle guitarist? You're ahead of the eight-ball.

  • This is crazy!!!!! This kid rules!!

  • amazing!!

  • This video makes me sick.... just because i couldn't devote enough time to learn this song

  • wow :)

  • Yeah, the bass notes aren't audible enough...

  • @exiledlegends yeah ...just wait till the kid got bigger hands :)

  • awesooooooooooooooooooooooooooooome, great talent!!!!!!!!!

  • good for a child but you need to work on your bass notes volumes and your high notes need to ring out more

byt the time your 20 you will be a god!

  • sun doin good bro keep it up!Ignore these socially enepted bigots, ill stomp their asses 4 ya free of charge, getcha pull!;-/-

    -

  • Dang lil man. Nice job. You got licks. Fo real.

  • This kid never ceases to amaze me. He must be a demon.

  • Haha good one. :D

  • An asian doing something besides karate and computer programming =0 They sure have come a long way...

  • man just to ask u how old are you

  • @kalnjake25 If you mean Sungha, he's 13, just turned in September :)

  • @kalnjake25 he is probably 35

  • @patwrotethis LOL

  • @kalnjake25 He was 12 in this vid and he just turned 15 last week

  • Some day i want to meet Bono, Jesus, and this kid

  • @RedSonRising1

    fuck bono, the cunt

  • d+ japa!!!

  • anyone knows what's the tuning?

  • wow... kid, don't stop practicing, you are awesome!

  • Comment removed

  • dont criticise him...he has plenty of time to get better...great job kid!

  • Wrong tempo, a few missed harmonics and notes, but overall, very good. :)

  • as much as i hate to say this, i can see what you are getting at wtih tempo. but overall your right, hes proooooo

  • have you seen this kids other videos?? theyre flawless! unless you can do better, dont criticize.

  • LOL? Criticism isn't about: Oh he's better than me, he's perfect. It's about getting critics to get better. No one is perfect.

  • ok that honestly makes no sense at all.... "criticism is about getting critics to get better?" wtf?

also, i never said anything/anyone was perfect. But unless you can do better, dont point out his flaws. Lesson for life.

  • No that's false. You can be the crappiest guitar player the world ever had, and you can still point out the flaws.

  • but you shouldnt. its a matter of authority on the subject.

  • Would you give tips to Usain Bolt on how to run faster? You wouldn't even know the flaws and he has no reason to listen to you right?

  • The flaws are there. Correct them if you feel like it.

  • Usain Bolt has coaches no? Can they run as fast as him? No...your logic is flawed.

  • You missed the point. I mean YOU wouldn't coach Usain Bolt on running, why would YOU coach Sungha on playing guitar. You said even the crappiest guitar player can point out his flaws, that's like saying even the slowest runner in the world can coach Usain Bolt. Get the point?

  • Ok well, i could see what you are saying. But, you could still give Bolt some tips. As a third party person, flaws are more open to us, so if we tell the person their flaw that they may not notice, it would help. You think of critiquing as a negative, when really it is beneficiary. ps my spelling sucks.

  • Ok so, you jump to conclusions too easily, a person pointing out another persons flaws doesn't mean he could coach them, it means they could give them tips, a bad runner, but a person who knows about running, can give bolt tips, but couldn't coach him amazingly, flaws always stick out, everyone is a critic, your supposed to take this criticism and grow from it.

  • Simon Cowell can't sing for shit, and yet he can critique singers, you don't have to have it to know about it. Criticism makes people better, as long as you don't say that people suck, be constructive.

  • people don't like it when you criticise asians, if he was white they wouldn't care, but its embedded in the back of all minds that if an asian is good at something, they are perfect, this is so true.

  • XD probably true.

  • This guy is awesome

  • i think its no good cover from him.

    He can play mutch better,

  • you're blessed little man:)

  • i dont know if im trippin but it does sound a little slower than the original... :/ ehhh

  • good player but he needs should hit harder on the percussion!!!

  • Is he using elastic strings??

  • No, he uses all metal strings. And I believe what you are thinking of are the nylon strings that are commonly put on classical guitars.

  • oh okay, it sounded elastic thats why. But the kid can play. REally good

  • It is strange that I like his version better than the composer's version?

  • Not strange. Insane. >_> Lol Nothing personal. :P

  • so luvly!

  • I like his clarity. i find this more compelling than Dufour's playing.

  • WOW !!

  • what is with little asian kids?

they have like playstation 39s, graduate from college with a bachleors in astro physics when their 12 and now this? i want to be asian. =[

  • woooord.

    haha.

    seriously.

  • buddy? wtf

  • hahahahahaha

  • @iRockyy all in return for being not well equiped, and don't even make me mention world war 2 ;)

  • They just have disciprine!

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw! wath this! ?????? coooooooooool

  • Very nice playing! I love to play in this style as well. Whe I saw Antoine play live, he did this song, and I was blown away. Even more impressive in person.

  • wow ^^

  • can't. stop. listening. to. your. music!

  • i love every single video! cant decide which is ones my favorite..

  • With some fingernails, he could have away amazing tone!

Very impressive, such a difficult piece.

  • First of all I think anyone who is critical is simply jealous of his talent. I have noticed that the more difficult the piece the better sungha plays. Fantastic. First rate

  • May I ask you how many videos you have watched of Sungha? Cos it's unfair to judge his playing that way if you only have watched this clip.

Surely he's not most lively here. But if you try some other clips, and actually most of them, he always shows something like bobbing his head, his facial expression, movement with his guitar, etc; and they are all very in tune with the music.

Please don't judge him so unfair. He may not have emotion for all songs but still that does not make him a robot.

  • @loyalhpfan so true... plus most of Antoine's original pieces are very technically demanding, so hard to do much else while you're playing. Hell, kudos for being able to play it at all.

  • @loyalhpfan lol his face is motionless because he's in pure concentration not because he's not feeling the jam lol

  • @craigsskeldon Exactly. He sometimes is too immersed in his own world --- that's probably why he doesn't pay a lot of attention to the camera or feel the need to show emotions.

  • @craigsskeldon Na cuz his dad will jump out with a whip and whip him in the ass if he misses a note.. lol jk that was a bit far

  • it's called concentration dick head! I bet you couldn't play this for shit. So put your jealous comments elsewhere.

  • bro no need to b a dick about his playing,

  • MAAN THAT'S AWESOME !!

Oooh .. I wish I could play like that *-*

  • another talented guitar child ;) amazing.

guess i know what i have to, when i have own children.

  • NO COMPARISON'S NEEDED HERE Both sungha and Antoine are musicians they have their own TOUCH and soul.. the rest i agree with alexmejia26 and tuber23504.....

  • there you go!

  • come on guys, cut the bullshit; comparisons are pointless. Dufour is already an accomplished guitar player, extremely professional. On the other hand, Sungja is a gifted guitar player, but he's a kid; of course his cover is not like Dufour's beacuse of the age difference, but let's think about what this kid is going to do in ten years? In summary, this cover is amazing especially because Sungja's age but never like the original;that logic...

  • Dufour has loads of passion when he plays. It sounds a lot better than Jung. You are right in saying that Jung has more to learn and will learn. But Dufour sounds better, his sound is extremely polished and he puts so much passion into what he plays. Don't get me wrong, Jung is a phenomenal player and puts an equal amount of passion into his playing, but you are definitely wrong in saying that Dufour doesn't have the same gift as Jung. Dufour's ability to play guitar is OUTSTANDING!

  • Sungha and Antoine are both awesome and are two of my biggest influences. Antoine is better ofcourse, but he plays longer. Also, Antoine writes beautifull music. But Sungha is also a great composer for his age.

I wonder who will be the better one in the end.

  • where's sungha original song ??anybody ....... i would like to hear it.

  • go to his youtube channel (jwcfree) there you see a playlist of all his originals... not so hard is it :P

  • Antoine has worked hard at his gift. If you are talking innate talent, that is very hard to measure.

But conversly, who is better? The man who can replicate a song, or the man who wrote it? I'd put my money on the writer.

  • I somewhat disagree with your statement. Dufour and Jung are both phenomenal players who have worked hard to what they are now. Dufour actually started playing when he was 15, way late compared to Sungha Jung. It shows that hard work and determination can bring you to a level like Antoine Dufour.

  • Better than thi original, more feel to it, not as fast as original witch is nice

  • Better than the original? That's crazy.

Very good? Possibly amazing for a 12yr old? DEFINTIELY!

Dufour wrote this song, Jung only did a cover. I'd say the best version lies with the writer.

  • Also people say he doesn't express feel, but that's just because they don't see him doing it. I know many serious guitarists, and even I don't go around smiling while I play, cause I feel im so deep into the music. Maybe he feels that way. You don't have to smile to show feelings. Maybe it moves him that much.
