  • Seems for 2012 model year that "Goldwing" has finally lost it's stature as Number "1" in Grand Touring bikes. The new champion is the BMW K1600GT. BMW comes with a 160hp inline 6 cyl, removable side panniers and Top Case, Less overall weight, etc. The only major benefit Honda has over BMW here in the states is "More Dealers".

  • my uncle has a 50th anniversary model and it is beautiful.

  • Close to 120 horses

    OmG inSAne!!

    lol.....

  • Most appropriate that the gl 1800 was introduced in the proper yellow as we Goldwing owners know to be the fastest of colors....

  • @Oso1G If yellow was so fast then why isn't it around for the 2012 model year?

  • @Oso1G Well if you thought Yellow was a fast color why isn't it available for the 2012 model year?

  • @20031200 As hideous as the 12' wing is, Honda knew better to tarnish such a perfect fast color. Look for fastest yellow to be available with the all new Goldwing...whenever the hell that is lol.

  • @Oso1G Are you then an owner of a Yellow GL1800, or a wannabe? Myself I ride a Candy Caliente Red '08 GL 1800. I see my color has been carried onto the 2012 model. the fact is it must be more popular. LOL

  • @20031200 I own a 10' ABS in the fastest color Honda offers...Yellow. Honda dare not tarnish it's fastest color on a horrendous plastic update/butcher job. The 2001 Wing was Yellow, only the most important and worthy of Goldwing new launches get the superior yellow....

  • and my bmw s1000rr rapes your zx12.whats your point?

  • LOL my ZX-12R would rape that things asshole wide open!!!!

  • The GL1800 looks a little small to me. I guess that is because I ride a GL1500. But the GL1800 still rocks!

  • Nope. It's a motorcycle. Just a big motorcycle. Two wheels, not four. How will it turn into a car? Goof!

  • the goldwing is going to be over engineered to point where its just gonna be a car

  • @an50331 just like the UltraGlide !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I too like the Yellow one, but the dealer only had 1 silver, 1, red and 1 white left that were new when I was looking last year. I bought the red one. Only thing I could be happier about is if it was paid off. LOL

  • I love my 05 Yellow Wing. 4th wing I've owned, and it is the fastest, best handling and best looking of all of them.

  • WANT ONE

  • that color is AWESOME

  • OK ,I am sold. DEAR SANTA,I would like a brand new Golden Wing, yellow would be nice.

BEST BIKE ON THE ROAD. but would get own by my 109.plastic bike.

  • take a look on "goldwing alpine" :-)

  • Omg you can't call this a bike. Its a ship (in the negative way) O.o

  • Damn, I want one of these SO bad! I want the yellow one!

  • is that automatic i want a automatic 1

  • CAPRICOSPORTS. COM

  • 00:52 Amizing that it lifts the frontwheel. This bike weighs more than 50% more then the average bike.

  • I own one of these, they are pretty awesome.

However I was goign to show off coming into work one morning with a wheelie... Instead tire didnt grab so Im standing on the pegs doing a rolling burning for 70 feet or so. Also pretty awesome. The harley dufuses were sneering at me, but later when they thought I wasnt there.... they were checking out the bike pretty hard. Got love 1800ccs of kick ass.

  • @genmischief The most ugl bike ive ever seen. How log takes it to go up to 100 kmh??? 20 Secs???

A ducati multistrada 1200 would fuck this bike in a race...xD

  • Comment removed

  • What's tje point of AC? You're either in a full leather suit and a helmet or the wind is there just brushing up on ya

  • Ugh, if I didn't have grey hair, I'd feel like that douche in the video (2007 Aspencade)

  • Actually, there are damn few sport bikes that can compete. There have been several who have tried.

Long distance, or short. A sport bike may top out at a higher speed, but while that bike is being refueled, the wing is driving by.

By the way, you can purchase a *BRAND NEW* wing for $16,799 US, so $15,ooo more than your crotch rocket, it ain't.

  • Hate to burst ya bubble, but the wing will do wheelies in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear bubba.

Yes, I own both the GL1800 and a 2008 HD 105th Anniv Ultra Classic. The Harley stays home when I travel.

  • you should travel with both LOL

  • A Gold Wing is not a racing bike of course,. It's almost twice heavier than a lot of bike but for its size it's very impressive I'm sure! GW is one of the best bike, air-bag, abs brakes, gps, etc, etc, etc. Expensive but it worth!

  • Smart Man!

  • wut should we ride then? a harley? hahahaha

  • My comment was harsh. I just don't like Goldwings.

  • it's ok. i personally hate harleys, however, i love scooters, especially suzuki burgmans. alot of people will probably say scooters are gay. they should check out the yamaha tmax or the burgman 650. they're big and cool. but they might be too man for harley riders

  • Yes most people would say those are pretty weak. & those people would be correct.

I guess it's only my opinion but bikes are not just for looking cool but for the whole riding experience which you just don't get on a burgerman-poo 650.

  • the only reason why you don't like gold wings is because your weak and you let your pride get in the way other wise you wouldn' t mind a gold wing.

  • The only reason I dislike the 'Slow-Wing' is because I like to speed around over taking cars and pulling the rare wheelie where it's safe to & that's something that this piece of poo cannot do.

  • theres no point on arguing with you you'll be dead with in month ; )

  • Wow. A comment like that really isn't cool.

  • no im talking about your going to die a horrific gruesum death if you drive a crotch rocket i see it all the time to and from work one time i saw a man decapitated under a semi truck his body was mangled up and his head was laying on the ground about 60ft away from his body that scard me for life.

  • Very unlucky. I hear what you are saying. I just love them too much to ever give it up.

  • Still not dead motherfucker.

No Crashes, no scrapes and no damage.

I bet you've had one or two over the last 5 months. ;)

  • Then you are simply not smart enough to understand what the Goldwing was made for

  • Looking like a bell-end?

  • Here's a nice video of a "Slow-Wing".

    LMAO

  • The wing will do 17 foot circles, so needing a parking lot is not reality.

  • I cracked up when the dude took his helmet off and it was nicky. You think he would've done better in 08 if he was throwin goldwing around in his off time.

  • nice performance,, but It's still a goldwing... You can give it as many horsepowers as you want, but you cant get rid of the ''mustache'' image.....

  • Evidently you've never rode one b/c if you have, you wouldn't be so worried about "image"! My other ride's a 650 V-Strom so apparently my take on image is DILLIGAF! Bought my 1st Wing ('86 1200) when I was 25 and rode the snot outta of it. Didn't own a cage for 9-years I owned it. Bolted on a sidecar and rode out those winters here in OH. Goldwing is one helluva machine and I'll always have one in my garage. Now, I've got an '07 w/all bell&whistles. 2-wheeled Lexus that'll shame many squids!

  • i dont really like touring bikes, but this one is actually pretty good looking

  • Beautiful bike!

  • HD.? Ha.. Villians Ride HD's.. Civil Lux Riders Do the Wing.. And You Don't Need Tats And a Speed Addict Girlfriend To Ride One.. Must Say, After Seeing The Airbag Vid, I Am Going To Spring For The Top Of The Line Model.. My Life Is Worth The Extra 3 Grand Should Some Idiot Turn In Front Of Me..

  • The Kind Of Idiot That Capitalizes Every Word?

    I Hate Those Idiots.

  • Ahaha it's almost like they're saying a Goldwing is sporty!

    Honestly, who buys these things?

    And why?

Not taking the piss, I am genuinely curious?

  • are kidding you must be a nooby . Goldwings are the most popular selling motorcycle in the world. Alot of people don't like the big goldwings because they can't handle all the extra bike because they don' t know how to ride it

  • @jason23296 goldwings are easy to ride. the 1800's have gotta be the easiest bike in the world to ride

  • Comment removed

  • @Ready72000 of course!

  • Face it, the Goldwing isn't for everyone, it's mainly for those who are willing to ride in all weather conditions. I would much rather be on my original '97 SE, with 130k miles, then in my car. friends have TOLD me I NEED a HD, but if I wanted an HD, I would have bought an HD. I do like going 3-400 miles in the summer time without overheating though.....

  • is it faster than a peddle cycle??

  • Get a real bike

    You know the name

    105 years I already

    Have a car....

  • hd =lot of money for a tank badge..

GLl1100 owner/ (GL1800 coming 2009) did Wi to the gap July 08, then on to key west 2 up... Goldwing riders put the miles on That's who buys em. if I wanted to go real fast I'd buy a gsxr. Had an amf FLH; thanks, p.o.s.!

fool me once "motor company" shame on you; fool me twice shame on me . I ride alone perhaps,I don't care what you ride. Lables aren't important to me.

  • great bike. really cheesy commercial.

  • "Whoa! This thing rocks!"

    What a tool.

  • id do it iff i got payed as much as he did

  • Well said mbtech208! :)

One of the most stupid advertisements on motorcycles!

  • 1800cc this ugly ass bike can rape the kawazaki 1400

  • wish I could trade my gl1100 full dressed for a nice used 1800 sled!

  • ok thanks for the props!!

but i do not even come close to the fastest time and yes a good sport will leave me for dead!!

but yes i do hold the 24 hr record there,1001.7 miles in 24 hrs,,,106 one way runs!

  • Awesome video yellowwolf. There may be faster, but I'll sure never be one of 'em! Good job and stay safe!

  • forgot to add, what is the dragon? 318 curves in 11 miles in some of the prettiest country in the smoky mountains. many companies send their new crotch rocket or test bikes for testing and handling. some have employed yellow wolf to video tape them because they know he won't be left behind. not even by the best. and he only drives grandpa's goldwing.

  • you all should do a search for yellow wolf goldwing dragon. this guy holds the record for the fastest time across the dragon and the most times in 24 hours. he rides a yellow goldwing gl1800. he video tapes other riders crossing the dragon, and has never been left by anyone. including the japanese test drivers who actually use this public road as a test bed because it can't be duplicated. after you research it, then bash the performance of the wing.

  • introduceing the new goldwing with front end wobble, or possibly a design fault, from what comments ive read on u tube, some of you aint very happy,

  • I have a gl 1800 and I like it pretty good. Nicky is being paid by Honda of course to say "Wow, this thing rocks!" Which is a blatant lie compared to what he rides. Maybe Honda should hire a credible "Wing" rider to tell us how great the bike is....EH?

  • Right on ! My 82 Interstate is a "Dream" .

    Last year of simplicity .

  • for those who don't know. goldwings have been around since '75. back then they only made a standard, which was no bags, no trunk, no windshield. they made standards until the early 80's. they don't look like much, but until you have one you shouldn't throw stones. a very complicated bike that is almost worry free. it is so smooth and very fast. it's not a crotch rocket, but it's a lot of fun. it has the lowest center of any other bike i can think of. peg scraping is normal. i have an'82 gl1100.

  • you have an 8 2 gl1100 too? I have one to . I've never had such a big bike before and I was skeptical but after a month of riding I finally gotten use to the bike and now it feels like a regular bike. I got it for 2000$ and it only had 38k miles on it! It was an interstate what kind is yours? One of these days when I get back to work I'm gonna buy a new goldwing

  • Comment removed

  • HEY JASON : ITS A1980 Interstate ; PAID $2295 (USED) put 3Ok miles on it, gonna sell it for between $2500-$3K OR SO,No major repairs repairs ..HOW MUCH FUN CAN YOU HAVE FOR $2300???

found a leftover '08 METALLIC TITANIUM today.( my money's down)..

  • no shit?! Thats about what mine is. I bought mine this past September for 1800$ and it was a 82 interstate with 39k miles. All it needed was a new battery. It had 2 gody looking crhome dressings that werereally rusted and I decided to take them off the bike now the bike looks more plain but it looks much cleaner and neat. I just installed a pair of marine speakers in the front. It had a cheap generic brand cd player but its ok. Just wondering whatbrandbattery do you use?

  • I've got a gsxr 1000 now but when I get older I'll probably get a goldwing. I will never ride a Harley.

  • Nah just get a busa when your old. At least then you'll still be able to get erections.

  • I'll bet your really a Sidewalk Commando

  • This is for anyone that nay say's the Goldwing. I ride a 98 1500 GL SE, truely a comfortable bike. I have been advised not to test ride the 1800, not till I'm ready to buy. The 1800 was totally redesigned and now has more of a sport touring frame, thus the improved performance. To those who need the bugs and the noise, I'll see you on the Kankamangus Highway in October. Ride On

  • I have a 97 GL 1500SE & trailer. I agree with "ariesnr1" the 1800 looks too much like a sports bike, but my friend that had both the 1500 & 1800 say's the power & performance of the 1800 is unreal. It's a pity they changed the look so much though. For those that think a Goldwing is slow mine has hit 180+kph more than once, not bad for 400kg's of bike & will still beat most cars off the lights. If people haven't ridden one they wouldn't know :-)

  • They ruined the bike when they change the look so much with the 1800cc model. They went to far away from the good looking 1500cc. Love the 1500cc! 1800cc is not Goldwing anymore!

  • you're full of shit, the Goldwing is the ultimate bike, take a look at Deals Gap on Goldwing and try calling it a couch again, NOT! Couch my ass. What do you ride a 400 Suzuki or something?

  • If one's idea of biking is to be totally protected from wind & no roar, no steep cornering & a sofa feel instead of saddle then this is the machine to do it.

I had it for a week & it felt like driving a car.

Don't get me wrong, its lovely engineering but more of a caravan than a bike.

P.S. Much the same goes for BMW LT by the way, a great machine but more of a car than bike.

    Have a safe ride :-)

  • Maybe you should have ridden a bit harder. I often drag my "kick up" foot pegs on my 1500. Once you get the confidence to throw it around you soon forget you are on a 400kg bike. I have also owned a zxr 750h1 and you are right not the same ride as a Wing, 10.5sec over the quarter mile & 270 kph but ride it for 600klm and try to walk at the end of the day :-) If you want a crouch rocket don't buy a Wing. Safe Riding :-)

  • I saw a Goldwing 1800cc with a quad kit on it. Its like a tri kit on the back, but has a-arms in the front for the TWO wheels to mount up the same width oas the rear wheels, only much smaller tires up front. It was interesting. He said $43,000 for the bike and the kit.

  • yep, pretty Gay, I ride a Wing, this is embarassing. Good thing it's a great bike or I'd have to sell it after seeing this.

  • LOL!

  • i know i could take him!!!!!

  • Based on your world famous video, I bet you could too....

Your video was all I needed to see when I decided to purchase my Goldwing.

  • Agreed! Great video yellowwolf. I got my 03 wing not expecting it to be impressive at all. Just a way to comfortably carry the wife or kid from time to time, and to be a second bike. It really surprised me how agile it is. In no time I had it down scrubbing it all over the ground. Its scarred up a bit now on the lower farings from dragging through shady valley but it has been remarkably sure footed. It sure blew my previous expectations out of the water.

  • good commercial with the gayest testimonial i have ever seen.

  • I traded my '05 HD Ultra Classic for the the '07 GL1800. No regrets ... 87 octane vs 91, over 50 additional horses, better handling, higher top-end, better torque curve, liquid cooled, heated seats & grips, GPS and 6.6 gallons vs 5 or now 6 (better range). Like I said, no regrets.

  • Okay, these comments are mine - jssiler. My wife was logged in and I didn't realize it. She loves the bike too. She uses the passenger seat heater and she gets better wind protection on the Wing.

  • Theres only one bike that rules the road and that is a YELLOW Goldwing. Goldwings RULE others stand back or you'll get hurt.

  • It is an awesome bike! This bike eats hardlies up and spits them out the exhaust pipe!

  • i want one!and a bmw too!

  • How so? Because it says Harley on the tank? Give some examples of how it's better. Opinions. Everybody's got'em.

  • the gold wing's flat six is not used in any car.

  • Nice bike.

    I was 23 when I got my GL1100 I own it 16 years now...

The sound of this vidio is not in sync though: The front wheel should be lifting into the air at the moment the driver lets go of the clutch at the beginning of the accelleration in second gear.

  • PERFECT VIDEO !!!! AWESOME....

  • Go to the YouTube search and type "yellow wolf". Now what's all that talk about fat and heavy? The Wing runs.

  • SUPEERR , IT IS IN MY DREAMS MOTOR

  • The GoldWing only misses 2 things: One front wheel and one backwheel - then it is the car it really was ment to be!

  • this bikoi is toooooooooooooooooo FAT and TOO HEAVY

  • Im 28 and I have one (No Im not fat either). Goldwings kick ass !!

  • mooi he
