  • For all those toking on the crackpipe of manufactured pop, take a draw of real music based on real life with real emotion.

  • this is good bloody video.

  • Do your eyes well up with tears when you listen to Ian sing the last verse? (Listen from 2.37) Love this video

  • I fail to see how 3 people can "dislike" this. Ian Curtis was sheer genius and like many a genius operating on the edge of madness. Taken well before his time and worth a thousand talent show types. Bring back real music.

  • you can see Ian going like (Fuck.. no not now) when he starts "Dancing" epilepticly

  • Some artists are on stage because they simply have no choice. It's like watching a live slaughter. With unnervingly beautiful consequences. We shouldn't like this. He's at the absolute edge. As tourists we revel in what is clearly absolute hell.

  • @ Engine G9999 I have all the respect for your opinion and I really would take it seriously if you would post a link to some song you played that would convince me to change my opinion but you just keep being negative my friend. I really hate when people hit dislike in JD it just feels very much awful and I can't imagine how can they do that. Please don't do this again just for the sake of upseting people. The world would have been so poor and meaningless without JD. Rest in peace Ian.

  • @luanalidema You have clearly misunderstood my comment. I'm a huge Joy Division fan. What I was commenting on was the fact that the video shows Ian in what is clearly a state of exhaustion and decline. The song is a masterpiece and he sings with a ferocity and meaningfulness that no other artist could possibly repeat. He is at his best and worst here. That's the terrifying beauty about the song. I was saying that the video is incredible but also unnerving. I didn't "hit dislike".

  • @EngineG9999 Oh, did I?! I must of. I appologize for that I am not native english language speaker and I got it wrong. All the best luan kosovo.

  • One of,if not the, hardest drum tracks I've ever tried to learn.

Still can't nail it over nearly four minutes.

Steve Morris rates in my top ten drummers,no messing.

  • @robert140602 this is really hard to play on the drums I don't think anyone besides Morris can play that song

  • John Cooper Clarke's Chickentown!

The fucking cop is a fucking swine!

  • this is more than music

  • umm steven morris = half machine half man i mean how can any one keep doing that for just over 3 mins

  • JCC is THE Bard. Love Joy Division and Martin Hannett too.

  • please tell me this is the one bono doesnt ruin?

  • I know only 3 people disliked this video, but still, incomprehensible. This is a legend-making performance. Transcendent, awesome, etc.

  • Joy division never grow old or loose that original flash of genius , 25 years on and they still the sharpest tool on the cutting edge . X

  • just look at the fear in his eyes when he starts having a fit. he's such a legend!

  • @KostasGR41171 he wears it well

  • chili peppers used this riff in right on time(live in hyde park)

  • What guitar does Bernard have? I've been trying to find out for ages. Looks like an Eastwood, but I'm not sure.

  • Seems like a custom guitar to me.

  • sorry HarryPotterlovecat, Ian Curtis didn't turned popular music into a dictatorship were people starve while their "noble" leaders drink french wine and play golf

  • @ALBERTO2212

dude that´s a quote of tony wilson, if you see the movie 24 hour party people maybe you will understand.

  • Uuggh I hate the way Ian was portrayed in that movie. Control was so much better.

  • Comment removed

  • I think it's really Effing funny that you say not one of them is talented, dude. Really? What planet are you living on?

  • theres something so haunting in ian's eyes and the way he moves..wow i wish i could've seen these guys lives but the idea of me didnt even exist yet

  • Teraz jest tyle naśladowców.......:((((((

  • And none of them are talented... There has to be a god. It's one of those moments... It's like bang! Four pepole who dont have all that much in comun. I would be scared if i were in the croud, even just watching it is so sureal... Thats art, the creator reflecting his glory threw Joy Division...

  • if ian was still alive joy division would tour in ameirica, cause before ian's death they were planning there first american tour but then ian hung himself

  • Hudba Joy Division se pro mě stala srdeční zaležitostí a bude to tak navždy. Jsou pro mě nejlepší a jedinou kapelou, která mě ohromila hudbou, texty a postojem k tehdejší době. Ian Curtis o tom psal, zpíval a k tomu bojoval s těžkou nemocí a životem, jaký žil. Vytvořili nový směr a kult. R.I.P. Ian Curtis Pro jsou to oni, mají výborný všechny písničky, nejen tuhle. Asi se to ode mě dalo čekat. Martin

  • A true original! Authentic!

  • so much soul from Ian

  • @tony920226 Yes, sometimes having "character" is interesting in places where being technically perfect is not (Celine Dion.) He doesn't look well though; I guess that was the point where the epilepsy and marital stress was getting to him
