People need to stop this talk about qualifications. Most of the time If the majority is of a certain race, a candidate of that race will win. When people win any contest it's normally because of their race, their looks, or because they knew the right people. I think any University with a large majority of one race should make a minorities vote worth more so they could have a chance at winning. This sucks, but we wouldn't have to do this if it was really about qualifications.

The point of the film is to state that their is an organization continously picking queens instead of going based on votes. The fact that all of the queens are whites is just another issue. An idiot can understand this movie. Stop trying to make it complicated.
While the UA Greek system is obviously racist, I disagreed with how the movie portrayed the university. I was there for three degrees, and the movie was not an accurate portrayal of campus life for the majority of students.

The film takes a pretty balanced view, doesn't paint everyone as racist, and makes a lot of the points that you raise in your comments. It also explains that there have been previous black homecoming queens (and what's changed since then).

Why are you portraying this as something that had not ever been done before? And yes, the Machine is a bad group.
