my dads friend was outside the nightcub when it happened . he noticed that they ouldn't open the door so he stole a car and drove it through the door and got some people out . . and then he got arrested for robbin the car >:( even though he saved people
Heartbreaking , greed and a total lack of regard by Butterly and his family that contributed immensly to the tragedy windows in toilet and doors locked and chained, succesive governments whitewashing led to the pain and stress of the families, Dublin will never forget her lost Children from the Stardust
@celt68 Definitely man, and to make matters worse the butterly bastards just rubbed salt into the wounds by making profits from the dead By claiming compensation and continue to do so whilst trading with a licence & with the original front of the building still standing, SHAME ON THE BUTTERLYS AND OUR GOVERNMENT, LET THE TRUTH BE KNOWN ONCE AND FOR ALL! ! !
meself and the lads were drinkin in the roundabout around 88 ,an older lad came in with melted fingers [looking back he was probobaly 30 but old to us ,we were 16 &17] we sorta stared and then the penney dropped , we realised at once with nobody saying a word that friends like us died just down the street 7 years earlier ,only then did we realise how sad and real the tragedy was ,god bless all damaged by this act of negligence and laziness.
very tragic situation,as a doorman i always insure all fire exits are clear,so there deaths were not in vain.congrats on the new inquiry, all the hard works paid off.never forgotten.johnny fitz

sad song.... a very sad tragedy. Another chapter to irelands blood and tragic history of that time, like we hadent enough of killing with the north dureing that time.
I was there on the night the picket started, and I have been at many protests, and seen many people campaign.
I have printed many placards, but I will never forget printing out those placards for the stardust protest, and my feelings as I went to meet with some of the survivers to hand them over.
I will never forget the people who picketed the pub for nearly 12 weeks afterwards. That song was played every day during the picket.
sounds right , effortXD
