  • blue smoke = bad turbo, white smoke = oil burning, red smoke= someones fingure in turbo

    Blue smoke is burning oil, White smoke is anti-freeze ( example, blown headgasket etc)

  • Ended up being a bad turbo seal and low compression on cylinder 4. Replaced it with a Dom 3 and it ran for 1.5 yrs on that setup before it blew up last week.

  • hey everyone that knows nothing about turbos lol, looks like the wastegate opened at max boost to release before it overboosts. external wastegates are directly under the turbo.

    I don't know much about turbo's but, I think you have a bad seal in your turbo, it looks to be burning oil.

  • bov seems to lack the ability to release all of the air in the IC pipes and that caused compressor to surge. that led to bad bearings in the turbo that like to leak oil..... which burns in the exhaust and smokes.....
