Hey! I'm deciding between buying a Cairn Terrier or a West Highland White Terrier! I really can't see much of a difference between them but I was wondering if you can give me some info regarding the dog's temperament, and size. I want a dog that wont grow much the smaller I can get and also a dog who is not hostile with the people who come to my house and one that takes orders easily. I don't want an annoying pet. Considering this could you tell me which one is better for me? Thanks!

aww..the little one just hasn't grown into her ears yet, my male westie looked the same, i didn't want to clip his ears which most people do.

My westie had huge ears as a puppy too, it was so cute. she grew into them now. i think its mean to have their ears clipped.

Westie ears should never be cropped. You can trim the hair on them so they look neater and do not take on the appearance of satellite dishes.

The Westies are not fighting here though, the puppy wants to play, and the big one is putting him in his place, and tolerating his playfulness, knowing he is trying to play but not in the mood then. A conversation between the two dogs, in animal body language. Westies own my heart. They are the best dogs ever!

that's not fighting it's playing. Fighting will occur more in groups then with 2 dogs...because one dog can make other dogs hate the other
