Is it just me or does the Mongol bow appear to be slightly underpowered....considering there are reports of the arrows fired from them being able to penetrate Medieval plate armour from 300-500 metres away....whilst galloping on horseback steering the horses with their knees?
Hannibal was possibly a better tactician than Ghengis, but most of Ghengis' campaigns (and the campaign that resulted in the defeat of Poland and Hungary with 2 days of each other) were orchestrated by his general Tsubodai.

@Casshyr well genghis khan is fighting hannibal the whole thing's unreal. there was only one elephant cuz this was only 5 on 5 having a horde of elephants makes it genghis vs elephants instead of hannibal. hannibal's elephants were armored but the mongols are crazy shots they could just shoot in the eyes. war elephants are overrated anyway. their main impact is psychological. the fact that khan fought armies with war elephants and won against them cancels that advantage out.
Hannibal only has 50 elephants at most in his army of 50,000 men I believe, so giving him one in this scenario was really not that inaccurate. Plus they actually depicted Hannibal's war elephant accurately here, small African Forest elephant without armor or tower on their backs. Such elephants were rather vulnerable, and the Mongols beat up numerous armies of larger AND armored elephants on their path of conquest anyway. Elephants didn't take too kindly to being shot in their eyes.

After a thousand battles Genghis khan won the fight, The X-factor was the Amours you see in the tests Khan's Amour was so strong he as the Advantage to kill Hannibal. Hannibal's amour was so poor i didnt get the Advantage

i was cheering for khan, but the way the elephant stomped one of the mongol men was cool and funny. seriously though, I feel sorry for hannibal here, he deserved a much closer win (like 49.5% to 50.5%) and he deserved to die a much more dignified death and i think he was one of the absolute greatest generals/military leaders in history, but genghis is just too awesome.

@myKyuubischild the horse is wrong also Khan itself is wrong. His face, body and movement is more typical to southern Chinese not a Mongol. Mongolians differ from Chinese significantly. I guess same its true for Hannibal too.
@TheZappermaster the arrows would cause massive fright to the elephant and the elephant could have killed his own soldiers if frightened. also, the carthaginians didnt have good armor, although genghis and hannibal both had iron, hannibals armor wasnt in good condition and wasnt properly made. also genghis sword and bow kicked ass and was effective. thats why the sim gave genghis the edge.

where did you see dismounted Mongol soldiers fight? i believe that even the lowest ranked Mongol soldier owned a horse. if you count the elephant, that's 6 vs 5. and i know that the Mongol expert Khosbayar, he never trained archery and sword fighting before. that is just lame.

Genghis never lost a battle and conquered more land then any other ruler in history stretching from china to Europe. Think about it, his Mongol army defeated orientals Arabs and Europeans. Hannibal lost to Rome before it was an empire, a more intriguing battle would have been khan vs caesar

i was cheering for khan, but the way the elephant stomped one of the mongol men was cool and funny. seriously though, I feel sorry for hannibal here, he deserved a much closer win (like 49.5% to 50.5%) and he deserved to die a much more dignified death and i think he was one of the absolute greatest generals/military leaders in history, but genghis is just too awesome.
oh well, at least genghis khan avenged the mongol's defeat against the comanche and sun tzu's and ming's losses as well.

@HamonLord oh man, being Mongolian I must say he would be happy about Ming defeat (Ming empire overthrow his grandson's Yuan empire and sacked capital of Mongolia Khar-khorin) and irrelevant to happy about Sun Tzu's death. Chinese were biggest enemies throughout history of Mongolia. Even now there is mutual dislike between two.

thats fucking ridiculas im a big genghis fan but for all historical aspects mongals rarely fought dismouted only when they really had to did they do that and when they did they werent all that great they practiced more on horseback then then on foot and were master horseman but were not great dismounted hannibal was used to fighting small and large battles he was a great swordsmen and stratagist hannibal should have won hannibal wasnt that stupid with figuring out weaknesses in armour

@khanwarrior99 well since we werent around back then all we have is historical accounts the elephant riders were trained and elephant trained took a lot of time, every time ive read on him his on foot or riding a horse but i wont completely rule out he rode an elephant since we didnt live back then its very possible he rode a horse, elephant and walked he was a great general who wanted to be seen with his troops in the front of the army

@zorros78 What made me laugh were two moments in the sim. 1 Was when the elephant chased three mongols away. One of them ended up getting turned into watermelon and finally. 2. "YEAH!!!" (Hannibal comes from behind and turns into a BACKSTABBER)

That's the wrong kind of horse that Ghengis Khan was using. The mongols used the smaller Mongolian horse.

@myKyuubischild the horse is wrong also Khan itself is wrong. His face, body and movement is more typical to southern Chinese not a Mongol. Mongolians differ from Chinese significantly. I guess same its true for Hannibal too.

@TheZappermaster the arrows would cause massive fright to the elephant and the elephant could have killed his own soldiers if frightened. also, the carthaginians didnt have good armor, although genghis and hannibal both had iron, hannibals armor wasnt in good condition and wasnt properly made. also genghis sword and bow kicked ass and was effective. thats why the sim gave genghis the edge.
