  • can resin be poured directly over inkjet photos or photo paper ? can you do a tutorial on how you dipped the items? i can't imagine the resin flowing beyond the items you displayed. how would i control the resin over a 2in x 2in photo?

  • Would Pearl Ex Powders come off of the plastic mold?

  • @datashine38 If you mix it into the resin, then it will not stick to the mold. If you brush it onto the mold and then pour your resin, you make have a little trouble getting some of the powder off the mold but it can be done with a little rubbing alochol or acetone and a lot of elbow grease.

  • Can I add alumilites Silver Metallic Powder to easy cast resin? would the color come off of the mold?

  • @datashine38 Yes you can add it to EasyCast. No it's not going to come off.

  • Hi I have some questions regarding flowers do you have an email add that I could contact you at Aloha Christa

  • @christawicks It cindy (at) resinobsession(dot)com YouTube won't let me respond with the actual email but I'm sure you can read between the lines! Thanks Cindy

  • Is it possible to cast resin over Butterfly wings...scale wing in general?

I Have a beoutiful coloection of moths and butterflys ive FOUND over the corse of years and i would like to give a more permanant feel to them.

being capable of holding rather than veiw from screen.

theres realy not much info in this subject and setanly no tuttorials on how to.

so its questionable if it can be done or not?

    Thanks in advance 5/5

  • You should try the things you said had transparancy...by first putting a thin layer of white glue. I saw this on another video here on youtube. I'll try to find that video, so you can see what I mean.

  • I have never done this!

Kinda scared since I soent so much on the stuff..

plus...the can says the SHELF life is only 6 months!

so i had better learn fast!

we had two of our old dogs die a few years ago so I am putting their tags and some fur from them in a desk weight.

  • You only need to wait until the resin reaches what is called a "gel stage". the time can vary, but can happen as soon as an hour.

  • thank you

also what other kinds of mold release do you use if you run out of the store bought kind?

I read that car spray wax works and so does pure clean vegtable oil...

  • I've not heard of spray car wax but Pam will work. The only thing with using these products is, if you use too much or it doesn't dry before adding your resin, your castings can come out cloudy. The wax may also inhibit the cure of some resins. Cindy

  • If you pour a little resin, how long do you have to wait before pouring the next layer if you're embedding items such as google eyes/glitter/coins, etc.

  • how do u make a whole in the jewelry with a nail?

  • You need to use a drill bit.

  • I want to make some extra money by making resin necklaces, rings, etc. could you make a video on that with different emdeddings and pictures?

    Please?

  • I am just curious... is it "dipped directly" ? how do you do that? thanks!

  • yes I wanted more info on dipping stuff into it then how do you let it dry?How is it hung up and all to keep it from dripping?

  • The idea of sandwiching the paper in bewtween a transparency is really a good one if I understand it right...I was wondering if any transparancy would work i dont want to handle thin melted plastic?

  • harray, thaks for great helpful vids

  • thought it was fantastic - thankyou

  • Good info and loved the close up, really liked to see the fabric, thanks.
