Uh, that map showed McCain winning Oregon, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, Iowa, and Pennsylvania. Those are all *SAFE* democratic states with Obama, go look at the polls. November will be a landslide... for the dems.
Iowa, Colorado and Pennsylvania are far from safely Democratic. Even with Obama's post nomination bump, he has very slight leads in all of these states. Colorado is likely McCain. Iowa is a toss-up. Pennsylvania leans Obama.
This will be a 52-48 election. Obama has to either:
-hold Michigan and flip Ohio
or
-pick off Virginia, Missouri, and sweep thru the west
either will be hard to do, especially if Romney is on the ticket because Romney brings McCain Michigan and Mormon support in the west

Im not sure what the poster's math is on the electoral votes, but Obama has a MUCH higher likelihood of getting the 270 than Clinton. Clinton has won states that are GUARANTEED to go democratic in the general election (NY, Cali), whereas Obama is turning the tide in the swing states and traditionally republican states. Clinton has no chance in the traditional red states, and while I think either candidate would beat McCain, it is flat out incorrect to think she has a better chance than Obama.

Not really. He's a politician. Power has to be achieved somehow. I don't condone any of those associations--I'm not really sure about any of them--but Obama's policies are still preferable to those of McCain (and preferable associations, in some cases as well), and Clinton doesn't seem electable at this time. Kucinich just never stood a chance, but hell, I would have voted for him.

Iowa, Colorado and Pennsylvania are far from safely Democratic. Even with Obama's post nomination bump, he has very slight leads in all of these states. Colorado is likely McCain. Iowa is a toss-up. Pennsylvania leans Obama.
This will be a 52-48 election. Obama has to either:
-hold Michigan and flip Ohio
or
-pick off Virginia, Missouri, and sweep thru the west
either will be hard to do, especially if Romney is on the ticket because Romney brings McCain Michigan and Mormon support in the west

Conservatives rallied around Romney at the end (Ingraham, Hannity). All McCain has to do is not slap Conservatives in the face. Romney brings Michigan, probably Ohio, and could help in Pennsylvania and the west. If McCain carries Michigan and Ohio, I don't see how Obama gets to 270.
Now if McCain goes and picks Leiberman or Ridge, then Conservatives WILL stay home.
And Pawlenty? He's basing the entire election on Minnesota and Winsconsin? That'd be a a terrible pick as well.

yes i do feel hiliary has NY and Cali locked up, but so does obama. Come the general election it will be his name first on the ballot.
Realized many people love hiliary, but many also hate her. I myself would choose McCain over Hiliary. McCain isn't as bad as Bush nor is he just a douche. Now those Hilliary haters will not vote for her. Thats alot of people and will only help McCain.
I feel fewer people hate Obama, and Hilliary supporters will support him as well come november

Im not sure what the poster's math is on the electoral votes, but Obama has a MUCH higher likelihood of getting the 270 than Clinton. Clinton has won states that are GUARANTEED to go democratic in the general election (NY, Cali), whereas Obama is turning the tide in the swing states and traditionally republican states. Clinton has no chance in the traditional red states, and while I think either candidate would beat McCain, it is flat out incorrect to think she has a better chance than Obama.

Not really. He's a politician. Power has to be achieved somehow. I don't condone any of those associations--I'm not really sure about any of them--but Obama's policies are still preferable to those of McCain (and preferable associations, in some cases as well), and Clinton doesn't seem electable at this time. Kucinich just never stood a chance, but hell, I would have voted for him.
