@krwurten thats the beauty about being on their tail with beam scanning theres no time to pop flares. the method i use is fire one missile to make em pop flares then keep em locked n fire again its a guaranteed hit cuz their flares are reloading and you can usually get another missile for two shots once you get the timing right but usually the cannon finishes them of. thanks for watching

Ok, I see that you have xbox and its harder to control than using the PC sir. Beam scanning is good for only javelins and I don't think its good for using IR flares once its been launched because its laser guided, not heat.
@Marcusnguyen it does allow you to lock on alot faster however i dont have an actual time like with a timer due to the fact that you still have to keep em centered to lock on so the time it really takes to lock on will differ but you can see in my video when i lock on its pretty freaking quick and they dont stand a chance lol you will have to unlock it and run it yourself to see how you like it

@shqiptar9 If you use guided missile beam scanning is very very useful. Locks so much faster with that. But if you use beam scanning you can't have air radar. If enemy pilots are noobs then you can use beam scanning otherwise I would recommend air radar.
@shqiptar9 it helps if you want to run heatseekers if i run heatseekers i run beamscanning no matter what. i give up air radar for beamscanning if i run the heatseekers. EVERY TIME. thats how much of a difference it makes. however its nice getting double kills on tanks with rocket pods too lol

@RedSwitchblade i believe that the patch only lets you shoot em at a certain speed like sometimes i can get both to fire quickly but honestly i think its just a patch update limiting the speed you can pop them off. so i pretty much switched to air radar and rocket pods and just use my cannons to kill the enemies.

I'm sorry, but I have 3600+ combined jet kills, and I do not agree to this being the Ultimate guide. I don't know where to start commenting on where this video went wrong. Possibly the fact that it has Call of Duty music playing along with it.

you used heatseakers. That pretty much limits you to air combat only. Most of the kills where made by the heathseeker and your gun aim wasn't super. Personally I'd use podrockets or guided missles is you have a good team.

00:59-01:39 is awful, use your machine gun. dont name this an ultimate jet montage when its not that good. @baneyboy1 it does have a hardcore mode bruh, you go to server browser and click right stick to change your options to customize the server search and choose hardcore or even infantry which has no vehicles. if your not on xbox just go to server browser and use the legend at the bottom to see how to refine your serch results
before i watch the vid i use fire extinguisher instead of flares this way the guy thinks he shot me down he leaves me alone i kick the it in then i take him down works everytime

@toxicgoogoo try the one shot pop method. Shoot one heatseeker wait til they pop flares shoot missile 2. By the time they have flares back u will have another missile ready to go but that one missile that hits starts making them panic cuz they are defenseless until their flares reload so use this opportunity to get on their tail n slam em with cannon shells for the kill

Hmm nice montage some good kills u got a bit of skill, shame u love heatseekers so much. u could be so much better! U really need to equip laser guided missiles, or my personal pref the rocket pods. U can't support ur infantry atall. So much easier to quickly kill jets or helis with cannons then rain hell on tanks and jeeps. Ur missing so many kills...... Enemy jets just become a distraction if there in the air.

So it seems that logically an inconsistent weapon like a heatseeker would take more skill to master and make consistent therefore getting kills with heatseekers = ace pilot. What your basically trying to claim is the same as saying someone isnt a good sniper because they used a scope on it or even go as crazy to say they arent a good sniper cuz they used bullets. If they were that good they should b using bb guns for mile long kills
Or go belt speed, IR flares, guided missile use the guided missile to spot out ground infantry, take out tanks, and if you don't suck pick off infantry belt speed is like a 5 second delay in between each burst so it helps with air vehicles and when you lose IR flares dodge the incoming or with the new patch eat the missile and run away sidewinders are just a pain in the ass and a good pilot could dodge a rocket or prevent lock on all together

@SlimShady74239 actually I was just chasing the jet for this video so I could help show how I stay on peoples tail my actual strategy is two missiles if im close then switch to guns immediatly. If im far away I shoot one n let em pop flares then shoot the second then switch to cannons. Only works well with beam scanning. Check out my other montage for jets for a better idea of how I do it for the quick kills!

@titteringfiend1 so heres what u do, go to server browser set up your settings for 5+ ppl.on maps with jets n look for games with small amounts if ppl like about 6 or 7ppl and hit right on the dpad twice to see the ppl n their ranks n look for low rank games chances are that if u find a low rank game they may be in your same position and levels tge playing field cuz u dont need much for flares or even heatseekers hope this helps

Rudders are attached to the vertical stabilizers at the rear of the jet. it helps turn sharp withou losing altitude and helps accurracy when using cannons! Go 3rd perdon view n wiggle the sticks to see rudders in action
Good video but only about 75 percent of the info really works. My tips to future BF3 jet pilots are do not use heat seekers or guided rockets just use this setup air radar (helps a lot with dog fighting and ground target acquisition) Rocket pods ( Easy to use, Accurate and powerful, Also Rocket pods are outstanding for close air support ) I also recommend to use flares or the ECM JMR. Oh and who needs heat seekers when you can pump 200 rounds of a 20 mm cannon munition into a helicopter.

Heat seekers are a good backup when used tactically for example shoot one to make em pop flares n shoot the second to hit the jet n damage.them n finish em off with cannonshowever you need beam scanning for it to b fast enough to be deadly enough. cannons are best but remember alotta guys who need tips may not have radar or beam scanning or even flares! If guided missile was a one hit kill itd b bomb but it sux. Best advice match weapons to flying style for best results
Well I use beam scan, flares and guided missile and I do fine. I just hear for enemy jets (no need for the radar). I find that using the guided missile you can spot better and even spot infantry. And with beam scan and some cannon fire I can disable a vehicle or kill it on one pass.

@BlackRecoil usually when u shoot down tbe enemy team so much or so fast they stop flying n jets sit on the runway unused so rocket pods are fun for tanks n jeeps n infantry but I like heat seekers for helicopters cuz alotta pilots run engineer n repair tool to if you hit em with two they usually die before they can get down to repair or bail if u only hit with one hit em with cannons n kill em quicker. Its up to u what u like best or suits your style.

To freelook hold down on the dpad the same time you look around with your sticks.

Im sorry to be the one to tell you this.... but your garbage.... for one, i see you use heat seekers because you cant really mimic the targets movements accurately. 2: your tailing a jet from 00:42 to 1:31 and couldnt close for the kill, when i get behind a jet it explodes in at most 3 seconds, then its on to heli's, tanks and infantry. @SKULLRAGE ace combat can only help u with general flying evasion and some dogfighting skills. Since it was so arcady you cant carry alot over. However the concepts are there. Slowing down to turn tighter n such. Try just getting the rythmn down for throttle to turn tight take the rest n apply what u find that works best for you
I think that heat seekers are for noobs, the main cannon is the best for air targets. You could use missilepods or guided missiles instead. Good job but I'm about as good.

@shqiptar9 it helps if you want to run heatseekers if i run heatseekers i run beamscanning no matter what. i give up air radar for beamscanning if i run the heatseekers. EVERY TIME. thats how much of a difference it makes. however its nice getting double kills on tanks with rocket pods too lol

@RedSwitchblade i believe that the patch only lets you shoot em at a certain speed like sometimes i can get both to fire quickly but honestly i think its just a patch update limiting the speed you can pop them off. so i pretty much switched to air radar and rocket pods and just use my cannons to kill the enemies.

you used heatseakers. That pretty much limits you to air combat only. Most of the kills where made by the heathseeker and your gun aim wasn't super. Personally I'd use podrockets or guided missles is you have a good team.

00:59-01:39 is awful, use your machine gun. dont name this an ultimate jet montage when its not that good. @baneyboy1 it does have a hardcore mode bruh, you go to server browser and click right stick to change your options to customize the server search and choose hardcore or even infantry which has no vehicles. if your not on xbox just go to server browser and use the legend at the bottom to see how to refine your serch results

U can't support ur infantry atall. So much easier to quickly kill jets or helis with cannons then rain hell on tanks and jeeps. Ur missing so many kills...... So it seems that logically an inconsistent weapon like a heatseeker would take more skill to master and make consistent therefore getting kills with heatseekers = ace pilot. Or go belt speed, IR flares, guided missile use the guided missile to spot out ground infantry, take out tanks, and if you don't suck pick off infantry belt speed is like a 5 second delay in between each burst so it helps with air vehicles and when you lose IR flares dodge the incoming or with the new patch eat the missile and run away sidewinders are just a pain in the ass and a good pilot could dodge a rocket or prevent lock on all together

@SlimShady74239 actually I was just chasing the jet for this video so I could help show how I stay on peoples tail my actual strategy is two missiles if im close then switch to guns immediatly. If im far away I shoot one n let em pop flares then shoot the second then switch to cannons. Only works well with beam scanning. Check out my other montage for jets for a better idea of how I do it for the quick kills!

@titteringfiend1 so heres what u do, go to server browser set up your settings for 5+ ppl.on maps with jets n look for games with small amounts if ppl like about 6 or 7ppl and hit right on the dpad twice to see the ppl n their ranks n look for low rank games chances are that if u find a low rank game they may be in your same position and levels tge playing field cuz u dont need much for flares or even heatseekers hope this helps

Rudders are attached to the vertical stabilizers at the rear of the jet. it helps turn sharp withou losing altitude and helps accurracy when using cannons! Go 3rd perdon view n wiggle the sticks to see rudders in action

Good video but only about 75 percent of the info really works. My tips to future BF3 jet pilots are do not use heat seekers or guided rockets just use this setup air radar (helps a lot with dog fighting and ground target acquisition) Rocket pods ( Easy to use, Accurate and powerful, Also Rocket pods are outstanding for close air support ) I also recommend to use flares or the ECM JMR. Oh and who needs heat seekers when you can pump 200 rounds of a 20 mm cannon munition into a helicopter.

Well I use beam scan, flares and guided missile and I do fine. I just hear for enemy jets (no need for the radar). I find that using the guided missile you can spot better and even spot infantry. And with beam scan and some cannon fire I can disable a vehicle or kill it on one pass.

I target jets and helicopters by the jet gun.....
and for ground vehicles I use rockets pods or guided missile.....

@BlackRecoil usually when u shoot down tbe enemy team so much or so fast they stop flying n jets sit on the runway unused so rocket pods are fun for tanks n jeeps n infantry but I like heat seekers for helicopters cuz alotta pilots run engineer n repair tool to if you hit em with two they usually die before they can get down to repair or bail if u only hit with one hit em with cannons n kill em quicker. Its up to u what u like best or suits your style.

@BlackRecoil usually u wont get a guided missile kill unless they are wounded and I dont like em due to camera placement like in a chopper you can look around but the jet is fixed n u risk crashing to lock on if your not careful. To freelook hold down on the dpad the same time you look around with your sticks.

Im sorry to be the one to tell you this.... but your garbage.... for one, i see you use heat seekers because you cant really mimic the targets movements accurately. 2: your tailing a jet from 00:42 to 1:31 and couldnt close for the kill, when i get behind a jet it explodes in at most 3 seconds, then its on to heli's, tanks and infantry. Slowing down to turn tighter n such. Try just getting the rythmn down for throttle to turn tight take the rest n apply what u find that works best for you
