The -Vertigo Hotel- was called before The -New York Hotel- and before, in the times of the movie was shot, or for the movie , it was called The -Empire Hotel- ! So is a way to say HE ! not a Dog Black and White movie !
Good old Sutter street. The "bar" at 2:05 is a nice place. I went there a couple of times last year when I stayed at Sir Francis Drake further down the street. Free and FAST wi-fi and 10 beers on tap. What else do you need!
smokycatproductions Thank you Michael. That is a nice quiet neighborhood. No aggressive panhandling, or drug addicts hanging out like in some areas of the "TenderNob". I think that is where I'm going to stay when I go in June. I have always thought that Vertigo is Hitchcock's best movie. Watched it again when we got off the phone last night. To stay in the hotel that was one of his filming locations in that movie ...PRICELESS!!!
Hi my good friend Paolo, yes I very much like to guide my human around the city on such nice days, but the area in this video is not nice, I did not see any rodents, we should have been a few blocks down into the tenderloin area, they got big rodents there.

It was way cooler looking in 1957 with that great green neon sign hanging vertically from the building.

Hi Perry.
There are two missing items you would need (Mrs. Boo) and I to help you carrying all those heavy beers back to (OUR) table.
Sounds like a nice place.
Hope you are having a great time.

@perryinsanfrancisco The bar in the Vertigo was also an infamous speakeasy during Prohibition.
