The software portion would've been a huge project on its own. But what's more impressive is the precision and power of the hardware that actually allows human-like walking, running, and jumping pattern.

As an electrical engineer, I can say most of the technology have been available for years, but Honda is definitely on the forefront of bringing everything together to make a legitimate General Purpose Robot. (I should trademark that term, :P)
