RunescapeHelpization is correct. I remember when I first saw the mv back in 98. They were parodying several bands and singers famous during the late 90s. One of which was Backstreet Boys. If you look at the mv for "I Want It That Way" by the BSB, you'll notice that Blink182 was parodying most of the video. Other parts in this video also parodied major bands & singers of the 90s such as Ricky Martin (scene with the candle wax pouring), Christina Aquilera, Britney Spears, NSYNC, and much more.
