I got to a school in the UC system, a school ranked in the top 30 (come to your own conclusions of which school that might be), so by that comparison, you are one step above a GED and about two steps below any truly meaningful degree from any respected university.

And I support single-payer healthcare anyway, and was not satisfied with Obama's healthcare reform. Let me ask you, what do health insurers bring to the equation, what benefit do they bring? You just spend more money, on less care, for their profits and marketing. Single-payer would be cheaper & more effective.

Britain, Japan, Taiwan, Sweden, Canada, Germany, France, name any developed country, and they have a universal healthcare system. But there's a reason every developed country on Earth uses a single-payer system, or at least a public-option. It lowers costs, it expands coverage, and it eliminates the potential for abuse. Healthcare should have never been a private industry.

My idea is to make the thing HOSPITAL-BASED: assign everyone a hosptial, the way we do a ZIP code, make the hospital responsible for ALL care (including meds), and pay them a fixed rate per patient. In cases of areas that use extra services, provide for some type of bailout or credit.
