  • So the human wasnt CGI?

  • The were pure CGI?!

  • Excellent Clip!!!

  • This is so great...

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGOODNESSSS

  • Is this out of Maya?

  • I believe he clicked the "render now" button in 2007. Not bad.

  • this video makes Avatar and StarWars looks like idiots.

  • @BrandNewSongz You can't compare those. Avatar sucks, that's that, but Star Wars is old and it's not really about the visuals, but about the story and the action and/or drama or whatever.

  • @BrandNewSongz You can't compare those. Avatar blows, that's that, but Star Wars is old and it's not really about the visuals, but about the story and the action and/or drama or whatever.

  • Thats great!

  • RIDICULOUS. just wow..

  • Hol-y SHIT. This is amazing....Absolutely beautiful.

  • i hope they can create beautiful artifitial worlds matrix-like in my lifetime, i will like to get hooked to that

  • @sgtMaxCollin Who's to say you're not in one right now? :/

  • Oh my god. that is all GCI. I didn't believe it until I saw the wireframe breakdowns

  • I wish, that when I die, that would be heaven...so peaceful, silent, beautiful.....

  • I wish, that when I die, that would be heaven...so peaceful, silent, beautiful.....

  • I wish, that when I die, that would be heaven...so peaceful, silent, beautiful.....

  • pure genius man, what 3d package do you use?

  • @BillySmith187 3ds max, vray, then after effects and premiere

  • Show off ;-P

  • nice man!

  • very good

  • Cool hope they make these kinds of graphics for the future games...

  • Fine arts, third being Architecture.

There used to be six, Sculpture, Painting, Architecture, Dance, Music and Poetry.

Revolution of multimedia kind of changed that though...and in 1920s, Cinema got the title of being the Seventh art.

  • It's like a dream. Someone's been busy, for a while ;-)

  • hopefully in 10-20 years videogames look that realistic o_O

  • I Can Watch This Again and Again ... And still be as mindblown !

  • Weird, how you suddenly notice how many glitches there are, but only after you see the drafts in making each individual view...

    Am i the only one...?

  • I'm very impresed by your work. I'm an amater in rendering animations and I would be very greatfull if you coud share some of the postproduction (I'm guessing Afterffects) with us, so that learn a little more about makeing a photorealistic rendering.. (sorry about my English :))

  • i'm not from an english speaking country but i think every person with an iq > 50 can read the name "Alex Roman" in the title - so pleeeaase stop asking "jennifergala" wich program she used to produce these pictures. and also if he would put this film in youtube - did anyone think, he would give a fuck about these "wich program"/"wich renderer" - questions.if you know what youre doing, this could be produced in maya, 3dsmax or maybe even in cinema4d -the secret is, its passion, not technique.

  • @a08877 "It's passion not technique"...

    Well said...

If we really appriciate someone elses art, we should use it to inspire, but not copy. Idolize, but still feel the flow of the creativity within youself... Because it's YOU. If you be you... you can make your own inspirational art, and influence someone else.

If you want to be "just like" someone else, this world would be very boring indeed. just be YOU.

  • @a08877 passion without technique???.. or technique without passion???

    Perhpas, it's PASSION + TECHNIQUE.

  • could you tell use how you did that? from clay render to lighting to camera?.. really that was breathe taking, id sit here and watch than climb mount everest

  • holy shit.. the trees were cg.

  • If this is like his other work NOTHING in this video is real, it's all CG. I'm pretty sure the one person who disliked this missed that detail. This in INCREDIBLE even if it wasn't all CG (which I'm pretty sure everything Alex does is).

  • You can see Alex Roman's latest masterpiece by googling "Above Everything Else" and Vimeo...

  • exceptionally tasteful and lyric.

i'm deeply impressed, thanks a lot for this inspirational work.

  • nice job is a great video I love it

  • i got no words to describe this geniusly amazing piece of art

dam you are a super genius alex ive never seen such a shockingly beautiful & realistic video

the best cg video ever, i find it very hard to believe that its actually not real dam O-O stunning

  • why's the name " the third & the seventh" ?

  • @huycoi

The 3rd art and the 7th art.

  • @jennifergala What are the numbered arts? Elucidate and enumerate please.

  • @jennifergala

forgive my ignorance, but can you clarify?

  • @mafurock33

    Fine arts, third being Architecture.

There used to be six, Sculpture, Painting, Architecture, Dance, Music and Poetry.

Revolution of multimedia kind of changed that though...and in 1920s, Cinema got the title of being the Seventh art.

  • @huycoi

The 3rd and 7th art, i.e. architecture and photography

  • ok.. I am terrified....

  • Two geniuses joining forces to create something truly and out of this world awesome. All six of my hats off, and all three of my thumbs up. Amazing.

  • I have to say that it was a little disappointing that it was mostly computer generated... mostly because that means that I am completely incapable of doing it. You deserve the title artist and I am proud to have people like you in field. It gives us all a standard to look up to.

    Andrea

  • Take that James Cameron!

  • So you mean to tell me that he sculpted everything in the computer. Everything. We are talkin about each book, each blade of grass, each leave blowing the the wind and this old style camera. What sort of fucking program does someone use to create such physics. I am not convinced.

  • oh wow !! it´s soo amazing!! greate job !!!

With which programm do you work?? For me it´s good to know --> I´ve to do a movie/animation-project for the university... but i´ve never done that before.... T_T by the way I´ve the complete adobe CS4...

    please help me . thx

    chrissi

  • WoooooooW that's just gorgeous, that's the highest expression of the 3d arts, i totally love the 3d trees, how can u animate those cubes like they were affected by wind? what type of texture do they have? how are those trees made? That's freaking amazing i love them..!!WoW

  • YOU are a GODDESS

  • amazing work, R u learning from the birth by the way..........?

  • ghhh... exeptionelle.... la music grandiose!!!

  • DAMN! You can do that with those programs?

  • Q ISSO, CENAS SURREAIS

  • Simply amazing.

  • excellent work!!!!!

  • this is insane =O

it takes me like a month just to produce a semi -realistic looking chair using these programs lol and the rending omg this must have taken forever! this man has patience l

  • REALISTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • REALISTIC !!!!!!

  • The most insane combination of visual graphic and music.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Inspiring!

  • wow! I didn't believe it was CG when I saw it! It was too real! Bravo!!

  • Brilliant work! It's amazing to see how far you push it grading wise. What do you use for ZDepth? Sapphire, Frischluft?

Very impressive indeed, can't wait to see what's next!

  • What program did you use?

  • The real magic is his color grading in post and the nice DoF work. The renders themselves are nice, but not jaw dropping...it's how he treats them.

  • these videos have the best artistic vision i have ever seen. since i am a photographer these videos make wish i could take that picture

    thanks for making my month

  • oh wait, it wasn't real?! I can't believe it, such a great piece of art, must have taken long to finish :)

    stunning work

  • Jennifer,

Your work blows me away. You have a great job and a great ear for sound.

  • @jennifergala , thank you for the quick reply! I'm CatherineTodd2 (at) gmail.com - don't know why I'm signed in as "CommentsSurvey," but am heading over to iTunes right now. Love the music and the video. The world is truly made by artists... keep up the good work! We need more people like you both in this World!

  • @jennifergala Hello, I'm a composer starting out and I think your music is beautiful. What program do you use? -AB

  • @matrixm777 She just uploaded it mate

  • Awesome breakdown on how this was made. Hopefully someday I'll be able to make a video in CG like this.
