@joesatriani1200rulez you are ridiculous, cause you have no idea whta this music is about. I mean, I'm a metal, even technical-metal guitarist, so it hurts me too, but these people don't care about getting a nice sound, they want it to sound dirty, true, and always different. even in the solos, half of the notes are muted, that's normal to them! and they are pretty much masters in music theory...
huh? of course i know what this music is about ive been playing guitar and different styles of music and also studying it for the last 12 years. What hurts you? your ass? cause im kicking it. Well yes they probably want to sound dirty and true. But this guy just played a very simple and basic gypsy jazz guitar line, and struggled his ass off, look at his left hand, can you get more stiffer than that? bad technique. No their not masters of theory, their very good at theory, not special tho
@joesatriani1200rulez no, they aren't? well, for so less academic contact they absolutely are. Even tho they're not the best, that's not what I meant. And you don't have to tell me that, I see that this guy is struggling his ass of. But that's no big deal for me, he offers some free lessons, and for the style he sticks to, these lessons are perfectly ok! And bad technique? yes, for sure. But really, I heard amazing gypsy-style players, with aweful technique, not my problem.
@joesatriani1200rulez And btw, his hand is not just stiff... he is also kind of sloppy in tempo, has really weird intonation and you just can't ignore that annoying noise of the strings^^
jesus motherfucking christ, he's offering a free lesson here and you bitch about his playing style? He obviously knows the theory and can walk you through it, so what if he can't play is perfectly himself, this stuff is pretty hard and he knows how to teach it... I learned this and feel I've become a little bit better... douche
boringgg, You dont need a lesson for this stuff, its pretty much common sense, see those things on the side of your head? their called ears. You listen and work it out, Not that hard to do. he may know the theory but who says he could teach it good?.......yeah it is hard.
If you cant play it good yourself your not ready to teach it. ^^^that guy, Good for you
@Johann759 Search YouTube for "jazz manouche" or Gypsy Jazz (guitar) and you'll discover:
Jimmy Rosenberg, Stochelo Rosenberg, Lollo Meier, Paulus Shafer, Birelli Lagrene, Angelo Debarre and so many more! It's a whole world of outstanding guitaring.
That is exactly sweep picking. Both neoclassical style/metal style sweep picking and this "dead weight" style is the same basic thing. I prefer the neoclasical style personally but I love the clearity of jazz.
i don't like how hard you hit your strings on guitar sounds not good for me,.. i like it when its with more feeling =/ but nice lessons it helps a lot !
In those first few forms, specifically the one where you start on the 10th fret and the following one where you start on the 12th. Do you mainly use just your third, index and pinkie for those forms? Would it generally be easier to just form the chord using all of your fingers right off the bat???
hallo am the guy tried to contact you many time but quiet . now i try again i have paid 29usd but cannot learn the guitar in the full site I want to start rocking right away! how you can fix this ploblem for me pls let me know.

@grandoko That's a great example of how any kind of musical skill can be used in any type of music! Although admittedly I don't really like Chelsea Grin at all xD
for some reason I find it really hard to mute the open stings when you're doing this one down stroke technique. but thanks thats a great lesson. practising that is gonna keep me busy for a while now :)

Is that C6 chord also an A minor 1st inversion?
Telephoneinstyrofoam 2 weeks ago
@Telephoneinstyrofoam Yes. Major 6th chords are always some version of their relative minor (minor 7 chords to be exact).

@Telephoneinstyrofoam Same thing, different labels.
