I hope I enjoy Turkey, I am getting transferred there by my job, but honestly I think I will continue to live in Asia once my time runs out in Turkey. Some of you got it it all wrong; Bhutan is the most beautiful country in the world, full of enchantment and natural beauty! I lived in Turkey for 2 and a half years and been back in the states for only a week now. I really loved Ankara and Istanbul. The people could have not been more hospitable and I will always miss these great cities. I did have the displeasure of living in Izmir for 1 year of my stay. The landscape was nice but that was about it. The people really were not very welcoming of foreigners.

Turkey is rich in history and culture, and the people there are gracious hosts to visitors. This year, we are trying to host a Turkish exchange student. I hope to make it there myself someday.

I visited Turkey 2 years ago and will admit I was quite ignorant. Not cuturally ignorant, but I expected to only see a desert like landscape. Boy was I wrong and Turkey changed my world. I did not want to leave! I love this country!!! I will have to say it is the most beautiful place in the world. The diversity of the landscapes, amazing! It is so clean and refreshing. It holds a special place in my heart and I hope to return some day soon. Turkey has its own piece of my heart.
