After I got my generations scourge I dug out my galvatron(the stupid missile GTFOed but has to be around here someplace) and if it wasn't for the stupid gunarm transformation(not the ball joint) joint he'd be a decent figure but when I transform my Galvs that joint got dislocated 2 times I think my hands still got the impressions of the figure in them(OUTCH!!!)

He's staying in robot mode and I might put him that "unofficial" cannon mode.

If you must transform him be careful of the gun arm.

@GeorgedIDK Not to worry if u look in Google as Universe or Classics Galvatron 3rd mode,u will find that u can transform him into a walking Cannon/tank resembling his old cannon mode,that's why he also has those weird legs on his shoulders cus it was his original proposed alt mode.Then U can experiment to see how u can turn him in ur version of the cannon mode.When I saw that I fell in love with the figure again.The G1toy version was a cannon & a weird gun,so now the Classics ver RULES.Enjoy! :)

I like this figure. The robot mode looks sleek and detailed. But I may be biased since Galvatron is my favourite character, and I'm not a fan of BIG transformers. Plus I do enjoy a challenging and 'stimulating' transformation.

What I don't get is; why make him a tank?? I think Hasbro/Tomy would have had an easier time designing him as a laser cannon than a tank. And if Cyclonus could keep his traditional alt mode, why not Galvatron?

I picked this guy up on ebay and was pleasantly surprised with how good he looks. MY problem with him is he's Captain Fall Apart. I followed your review for transformation and pieces just kept snapping off. Once I had him transformed I've noticed and I think you mentioned it, he is quite "loose" but tight in some random areas.

Still a great figure tho.

I don't get why they did such a weird transformation to him, but over all that's all I have to complain. The robotmode looks a bit of fragile due to the transformation, but he still looks good and the new vehiclemode is far better that the G1 one. It's also a lot better than the toygun classic Megatron becomes and it looks better than the 2 Pack Megatron tank.

I got the Henkei versions of him and Rodimus and they look nice displayed as a hommage to the movie's showdown, which is pretty cool.

yeah galvatron was Megatron. Megatron was so damaged after the fight with Prime and been thrown out in space by Starscream, and Unicron gave him a new body and became unicron's slave in the 1986 movie...a Classic, check it out

I really love the look of this guy in robot mode, but he is really a piece of crap.  I don't recommend him to anyone. Both of his arms fall off with the easiest touch, the missile tends to fire itself whenever it feels like, and the backpack he has in robot mode falls off quite a bit too.

Bottom line, he was very cheaply made. What could have been an amazing recreation of Galvatron was ruined by Hasbro's laziness.

the tank says galv-25 . it means galvatron (duh) and te 25 means 25 years of transformers.oddly enough this package doesn't say 25th anniversary

I nearly broked the backpack pieces one time. I totally just ripped them off their hinges by accident trying to loosen them from tank mode. I ended up chipping the orange hinges, but now I have figured out how to transform that part without yanking everything off. The robot legs should be loosened first instead of the way in your video, fold them out until there is room to push the "calf panel" down away from the backpack pieces (instead of pulling the backpack pieces away).

The poping-off parts makes it easier for me to repaint him (i've repaint him weathered silver allover grey parts). Few coats of paints over joints parts sure makes him tight as a nun!!

Yeah, I got mine yesturday took me a good 20 minutes to fully transform him. Also his joints like to pop off REALLY easily. The one I have has a really loose left arm.

If anybody wants to know, there is a way to tighten up ball joints. If you have any super glue around, take it and put a tiny bit on the ball joint with the leg/arm or whatever still on. Right after you do that, start moving the piece around every which way possible, but be careful, if you stop for too long, the glue will dry, and you'll be stuck with a fixed joint. Just keep going until the leg it nice and stiff at the joint. BUT REMEMBER! Only a tiny bit of glue is needed!

I will try that. I was very disappointed with the fact he was such a loose figure. Compared with the autobots from the same release, the build quality was shocking.

Still, only paid £6 for him from Asda, so it's not all that bad.

I love mine. Transformation is scary for a deluxe, but hey, I like a Transformer with a bit of complexity to it. Also, I can stand mine in all kinds of mad poses fine, and have very few problems with bits falling off. Just take your time during transformation and he's fine... Usually.

I hate my Galvatron, impossible to make him stand upright like a decent robot, keeps falling all the time. Pieces falls off everytime during transformation and even when you try to make him stand on his own, hate the crap on his back it has no use, specially his 2 backpack feet

I agree his legs are designed poorly, and he has a large panel flap on his ass, plus his overweight backpack with odd little moving peaces that don't really do anything. not to mention his caffs are like 3 times longer than his thighs. and his chest panel isn't very tight on mine and sorta slides down.

Great figure. Galvatron looks even cool in tank mode than in his original cannon mode. looks even meaner than the megatron figure. The price is also affordable (compared to the city commander upgrade armor kit). Great toy! ('',)

Great Figure but the arm with the missle kept popping off and the bookbag/jet pack in the back kept popping off. Good thing it pops back on great review anyway. Not bad got most of the classic figures the only two I do not have are classic constructicons cause my walmart is gay it never had it in stock or the big starscream figure to bad on ebay it is expensive. :( Should I get silverbolt do you think it is a good investment will they get the other to make a combiner?

Galavtron is a good figure, but i do have a couple of issues with it. 1st, and i am sure that everyone has noticed it, is that theright arm keeps on popping off when transforming him and 2nd, well to me anyways, is the balence issue. Cant get mine to stand on his own. but yeah a very cool figure.

He is pretty tall for a deluxe compared to others so he isnt that bad. Plus, isnt he shorter than Optimus in the show? Havnt watched in a while but I feel like I've seen Optimus looking down at him.
