  • they should make razor sparks this way

  • Fuckin SHIT!!!

  • I will say this does look like a flight sim but it also did really happen and the pilot was somehow notified by atc that the wheels were COCKed 90 degrees

  • the pilot would have had no idea his wheel was bent like that, how could he? Must have been a rude shock to him.

  • default*

  • looked like a flight sim. F2 is defalt for reverse thrust fyi. Slows down a lot quicker.

P.S. If this is real, I'd thank the people who build the landing gear, not the pilots.

  • If I Was One Of The Pilots I Would Have Been Like Once I Land This Bitch I Quit!

  • I remember seeing that on the news

  • fail

  • When Jet Blue turns into Jet BLOW!!

  • Will the application of "slippery" solution or firefighting foam to the middle of runway help to minimize the nose gear desintegration (by making the of-center wheels skidding rather then dragging)? - The plane was in the air for more then 45 minutes before landing (to burn off the fuel) so it was possible to use apply such substance before landing

  • @mkrp4 and if the pilot was just barely off or the fire fighters couldnt create a stream of foam small enough to fit between the main gear they all could of died or even without the breaking power of the front wheel caused by its friction could cause it to go off the end of the runway a bit and cause some real serious injuries its much better to just go through a set of wheels and then be reimbursed by airbus for the faulty gear...

  • Oh how I hate jetBlue, they are responsible for the worst flights of my life. :D

  • i thought it would go off the runway once the front tire touched down

  • Rotate the front tires and they'll be fine. Lol. Nice landing guys.

  • the pilots job were great!but why there were necessary?if they had checked those wheel before the flight correctly then everything would be fine!

  • @AJChannelTube What were the pilots supposed to check? I'm going to take a guess that the wheels were pointing the right way when they took off.

  • @aluisious well then how it happened that when they were landing the wheels were 90 degrees in the left?!

  • @AJChannelTube The wheels rotate 90 degrees for storage when being retracted. Seems the mechanism to rotate them back on gear extension failed. Not the sort of thing that's obvious when you're looking at it from the outside.

  • Very good landing. Kudos to the pilots

  • Very good pilot

  • you have to be so skilled to pull out your landing gear sideways

  • HAHA noseweel cocked at 90° XD

  • Need new tires....

  • runways need to be made longer. AIrplanes become commited for take off after a very short period of current runway length. ALso longer runways require less braking effort to slow down.

  • @210482fmj The longest runway at LAX is 3.6 kilometers long. How long do you want them to be?

  • @aluisious At least double. THat way if both engines fail on lift off the person controlling the aircraft will have enough room to stop. I dread to think what the outcome will be if an aircraft suffers loss of all engines on liftoff simulataneously. It is quite a scary thought. MOst runway at most airports are 12,000ft in length which in the event of dual engine failure on liftoff is not good

  • My last shopping cart at Walmart did that.

  • xD MFS

  • If only the CEOs who run the airlines were as competent as their pilots...

  • Parece un videojuego!!.. pero es Real!..

Increible el material del que este echo ese pedazo de rueda!!... para resistir la presion y el calor!

  • Now, here's when italians applaude!

  • fuckin jetblue

  • Great!!! That's what a Pilot is for!!!

  • if only that pickup truck was there

  • you cant be seriuos people... thats a fucking animation!!!!!

  • @MrJuustokas You are wrong. It's 100% real. Do some research before you comment.

  • @MrJuustokas No it's not you idiot.

  • That was pretty spectacular, should do it more often.

  • Iranian pilot did it! youtube.com/watch?v=F-JAa75zkNQ

  • New Movie:

    Tokyo Drift-Prepare for Landing

  • How the hell they knew that the nose gear was fucked up??? That was nice!

  • @GinoRc I'm sure there are sensors on the gear that make sure the gear is correctly retracted or pulled down.

  • Exellent piloting skills. Would fly with her & her crew any day...

  • Airbus sucks

  • was it jammed? do they have a direction sensor?

  • that pilot saved the airline a lot of money :p a front landing-gear Vs a whole plane is a pretty good deal. not to mention the people that was onboard

  • impressive.....

  • i started clapping after i saw this

  • and we will always remember these great pilots called: uhm... ohoh....

  • Brilliant. He carried that nose gear for a very long time before bringing it down.

  • i'd fly with that pilot any day.

  • I watched this live when it happened. The plane circled the airport for a couple of hours to burn off as much fuel as possible. If you think about the size of the front gear and size of the tail section the front had to stay straight. The best thing that could have happened was the tire blowing out exposing the metal if the rim.

  • Female pilot, by the way.

  • @braddyboy82 The pilot wasn't responsible for which way the wheel was turned, as I am taking it you were making a gender-related joke XD

  • @PeaceLoveTofu88

No, no joke at all. Just kept seeing people here refer to the pilot as a male. Just saying it was a female; had nothing to do with the landing gear being jammed.

  • @braddyboy82 I was going to say! But... How do you know that the pilot is female? o_O

  • @PeaceLoveTofu88

I lived in Southern California at the time, and I watched this on live TV.

  • @braddyboy82 Oh. Makes sense... Hm. She did a great job o_o

  • Extreme piloting skills.

  • @grahamersguy tires corrected me never mind

  • @grahamersguy was it real or fake

  • @ISSACISARETARD it was real

  • @GxTT4 Try driving a car on ice, then steer as much as you can while you're sliding and then wait for your car to stop sliding. Now try to bring it back under control. Good luck with that. That's about what happened here, it takes a lot of skill to hold it in a straight line when the front wheel wants to make the plane curve abruptly.

  • this was breaking live news on CNN stayed up for 2hours just to see this, they needed 2 hours to figure out that there was no fix for it while airborne

  • good piloting ...they handled the situation very well. thx for sharing

  • Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through a commercial?

Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not VEVO

Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?

Remember you could rate a video 1-5 stars?

Remember the famous yellow subscribe button?

Remember when the users controlled the site and now corporations?

Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!

Thumbs up to keep at the top of the page!

  • @nomissimon96 Yeahhhthe good old days ...

  • @nomissimon96 How exactly is having a few words as a top comment going to change anything?

  • @WieFunktioniertMathe hmm i dont know! XD

  • Good job guys!!

  • great landing is all i can say with nose gear stuck sideways

  • @GxTT4 well this plane was perfectly on the line with a nose weel at 90 degrees where the plane will normally want to turn really quickly and if he was going any faster, the wheel would have come off.

  • The wheel looked like it was at about 90 degrees from straight, causing no side thrust. If it was only maybe 10 or 15 degrees off,the pilot would have had a much bigger problem.

  • OMG, hard to believe the pilot got the plane running straight. Maybe there was alert from malfunction, but I don't know did the pilot know the orientation of the front UC?

  • Best pilot ever!!!

  • fat people on planes

  • Fake and gay

  • That is one awesome pilot.

  • The white lines seem to burn well!!

  • perfect work

  • fake

  • @Winner3370 Like your breasts?

  • @Winner3370 idiot

  • @69brwniz I guess you told us your real name lol

  • @Winner3370 eh, no?

  • i remember that, it was my second year of high school.

  • I'm fairly sure the reason he used a lot of runway was because there was an alarm to say the gear got stuck, and he pulled back (flared) near the end and tried to burn off a little more speed than usual.

  • i was on holiday due to fly out the next day when this happened, i was shitting myself on the way home

  • Whoa, it looks so real.... NOT

  • @Turbomanu1 it was real, youre an idiot

  • What scale of damage does this incident brought to the runway?

  • thats a pilot!

  • The ignition temperature of the white lines is much lower than the tires.

  • Well stone me!! How the hell did the pilots do that.....when I fly again can I have those guys!!! Some guy commented on the wasted runway???

It could have been wasted passengers and crew....awesome pilots....

speechless.....and really frightening.....love some of the light comments.

    pilots your seriously awesome!!!

  • Pleading airtraffic controller : ''But mr pilot you really don't need to paint the center line on the runway, we have machines and staff for that.''

Pilot : ''Nah It will be done spic n span. Plus we will save time. I will do it just as we land.''

    Pleading A.C. : ''Sniff...''

  • More like minor problem

  • 1000 points for the grind

  • reading some of these comments that praise the pilots it seems like nobody else has noticed they wasted half the runway before the real gear touched down and thats why they almost ran out of runway. yes the cocked front gear was still a problem but unless there are other factors im not aware of they should have declared a missed approach

  • @miggles86 their approach is great, runway is 3km long and they touched down later because of broken gear. No reverse and no spoilers as you can see, this pilots are not amateurs. They minimalized weight on front gear, in normal situation would airplane fall on his nose.

  • @miggles86 You don't do a missed approach once you've slowed down below V1 speed on landing phase. You're at the landing committment point. The pilot dissipated all excess flying speed and held the nose wheel off the pavement as long as possible thus preventing the nose gear from collasping and causing a greater amount of problems and damage. 'Commercial Pilot Bill'.

  • @85SuzukiMadura

Your 100% right. And I was only a private pilot student before I got laid off work and could not finish.

  • thats one way to wear down the tires, lol but really i cant belive how long thoes tires lasted for being drag with all that weight on them. great job landing that plane

  • hats off major!

  • Isn't there a centering cam in the oleo strut that is supposed to keep the nose wheel straight when in the air

  • much respect.

  • Well done pilot!!

  • Comment removed

  • I remember watching this live. Infact I the passengers on the plane said they watched it live.

    Crazy skill!

  • The bigger problem was they ran out of coffee!!

  • That Looked Like A Smoother Landing Than The Last AA Flight I Was On.

  • 85 people looked at the first 5 seconds and thought it was a game...

  • the pilots didnt do an incredible job they just landed and some jagoff put the gear on sideways

  • I'm surprised that landing gear held together, I thought it would snap off...

  • Comment removed

  • All Airbus Air Crafts are made in Europe. NOT IN AMERICA! Boeing Air Crafts ARE made in Seattle and Japan. This Aircraft healed on good. Good job Pilots

  • @WorldAirwaysMD11 then how come i work on an airbus line in des moins iowa?

  • wow, i waz expecting a big book from the landing gear breaking

  • never trust an airbus.

  • this plane HAD to be built in america!

  • God that nose gear had an ENORMOUS amount of strength to withstand that.

  • German Steal!!! Made in Germany!!!

  • this is why id rather fukkin walk who the fuck didnt see that wen checking the plane befor takeoff id have to kick someones ass and smoke some weed with a fith of hennesy after that flight

  • Should have rode 420...

  • Very, very professional!!!!!!!!!

The PIC follows exactly the centerline ................ better than with a "normal" front gear!!!!

  • @ThePilot314 You've seen me at EGMC then!

  • i remember this on cnn i was in grade 2

  • I assume he wasn't getting 3 green, hence his touching down the nose wheel so late?

Do we know if he did a flyby first or was this his first approach?

  • @DJFLDJFL Yes, he circled around the airport a couple of times, I remember from watching it live on CNN.

  • looks so much like computer graphics haha, thought it was till saw the wheels

  • If he landed any earlier he would have had a tailstrike

  • HUGE has many interpertations....for u tubers, non u tubers, serious ppl, jokers...etc.....have fun anyways

  • IF THIS IS HUGE THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN FLYING 30 YEARS....., MEANING AS A CREW....

  • this wheels are useless now ...

  • I'm surprised the whole strut didn't gust collapse under the stresses.

  • fake...

  • @lewiinen

no es fake bobo si salio en todos los noticieros u.u, informate antes de comentar, el piloto un groso total :D:D, tiene miles de horas en Flight Simulator xD, nice video

  • @Diegoo1997 johnny, la gente esta mui loca, WTF! :D

  • Clap clap clap. Buy the pilot a Scotch...... And the firefighters too.

  • that pilot done good coz if heim dint do that he would be in the air

  • @reecter Yeah, in the air till he ran out of fuel! He could have retracted the gear and made a belly landing.

Also, get yourself some hucked awn faniks.

  • good job fly boys

  • front wheeling by metal cutting! look at the wheel rim! incredible.

this video shows the redundancy of airplanes. no proper working front wheel, but safe landing. thanks 2 the pilots and 2 the engineers who build this!

  • That wheel is rebelling.

  • This is how Chuck Norris takes a plane, Always to the sides.

  • @alphaomega0101 dude ur stupid airbus is made in Europe lol

  • Woah.... Did this thing have to evacuate with the slide thingys

  • Every time i go on a plane, I WANT THAT PILOT.....

  • FAKE !

Is it a video produced by BOEING ?

  • @Hiro285 wht makes think its fake, becuase its out of the ordinary

  • @Hiro285 this is not fake.. this is real.

  • Does anyone have a spare tire asap!

  • Those lads are worth every penny

  • Take the steering wheel Ron!!! WAAA

  • this cant be a landing at lax because jet blue didnt play into lax in 2005 only long beach

  • Ahhhh shit, thats my bad.

  • Airbus a320 NO!! its SCAREBUS A320

  • rofl

  • If that doesn't reassure you pilots are just excellent humans then I really don't know!

  • well done Mr Pilot...

  • how's that an incredible job??? he's parked it nowhere near the terminal

  • Give that pilot a medal

  • Who the hell is the randomer talking in the backround

  • it's interesting how strong is this metal that at such a speed, just a small part of it teared... even the tire rubber teared a bit...

  • 0.0 I was on that same exact plane (still in service) 2 weeks ago!

  • no fire retardant foam?

  • Wow impressive landing! Good job!

  • Finally an airplane that can make a 90 degree turn!!!

  • thats how you land a plane XD

  • its simulator

  • Jet blue starting to catch OOOOOH no here comes jet star coming from behind (thats what she said) OH NO jet blue is out of the race, another win for jet star.

  • It's actually not that huge a problem.. Just stuck gear. It happens. A belly landing would be a worse problem, but still totally survivable.
